We started the process about 2 weeks ago.
TV Mixit + drama +docs + V6 Tivo
BB 350Mbps
Talk more anytime
15GB sim card
£48/m
Was going up to around £95 at the end of Nov.
Had a couple of online chats but didn't really get a great offer so asked for the cancellation to be put in. Had a text message a few days later offering a good BB only offer and asked me to call. phoned the number, explained the situation and said ideally was looking for a similar package to what we currently have. After a few mins on hold got offered this :
Tv Maxit + TV 360
BB 350Mbps
Talk anytime chatter (equivalent to Talk More Anything apparently)
£44/m
Just need to sort a new sim card for our son
Happy with that so agreed on the spot. Took about 10 mins total0 -

WhatsApp offer was same package for £34no movement, so cancellation has been initiated. I'm ready to switch to Vodafone 500MB FTTP at £25 when the £120 voucher is taken into account. Even with 2 CPI increases on the contract that's good.
It will be interesting to see what VM Tier 2 will come up with, I'm sensing a good deal.
I think I'll have to call the number posted further up & get a human. Openreach install dates for FTTP are now into early December so need to get sorted one way or the other.1 -
I just had a call from the team after my Ultimate Oompfh bundle was coming to an end at £79 per month. I told them i wasn't really using it that much and probably only sky sports and broadband were of use.
Was offered M200 broadband (which would have upgraded to M350 via Volt) and sky sports SD for £48.12 or £55.12 for HD.
As this was just for a single box (as i currently have the extra one) and didn't really offer me any extras or sweeteners i just said that i'm happy to go ahead and cancel and he said he'd remove me from the calling list.
Probably the worst haggling ever as i won't get another call back now but they just caught me in that kind of mood and i'm expecting a decent black friday deal to come around with someone that i can combine with Now TV or something. Happy to provide a data point though...0 -

The results are in. Package was going up to £79 not £71 as I said.
Got my speed up to 350MB, dropped the Documentaries, so just Mixit TV & landline. Also blagged a 360 Box & new Hub 5.
£28 for 18 months.0 -
I'm new to all this so hoping someone can advise. I've been with them 8 years but put in notice just now for first time as couldn't agree a new deal with the standard retentions team. My deal goes from £47.45 a month to £85.20 a month in a few weeks; currently I get:
Maxit TV, Volt M500 Fibre, 5GB Oomph Sim, Talk Weekends
I understand they don't bundle in the sims any more; they offered the same deal with a new O2 Sim for £54. I wasn't willing to pay more. They have the bigger bundle for £39 a month online at the moment which looks similar to what I have now minus the sim so I'd be looking for that sort of price point. Two questions:
Do I phone the outward retentions number (020 3743 6947) or wait for them to call me (I put notice in today)? And what price would you expect for those services above?
Thank you in advance for any help or advice!0 -

My plan B was to switch to Openreach FTTP which became available during my last contract, install dates were well into December so I decided to ring the number.
Got straight through & did a deal.
I think the agents have so far they can go & that's it.
If you want to get sorted, just do it. Remember to ask for an upgrade to the 360 TV Box & Hub 5 which will be free, or at worst a £5 delivery charge.1 -

Bigger Bundle with: Maxit TV (including BT Sport), Volt M350 Fibre Broadband & Talk Weekends
And O2 Sim: 6GB Sim Only (guessing it'll double to 12GB with Volt but advisor didn't seem to know anything about that)
No 360 box sadly (I did ask but not possible with that deal supposedly) and shame to drop the speed slightly but it's still more than fast enough really. The Hub5 I managed to secure for free recently on a random post from HUKD that had a Virgin link to request one! Expired quite quickly but got in there before it did. Thanks again for your help!1
