That will depend upon your terms and conditions .

I know Sky Sports does increase, but I cannot find if there is an increase to Virgin customers from 1 Mar 22. All media info
shows an average rise of 4.70 but no mention of sky sports0 -

My service consists of M100 broadband and a phone line that I never use. Since 2018 I've let the bill creep up to £54 per month. I've been trying for years to get the phone line removed, but they keep saying that I'd lose my discounts (discounts! What discounts?!) and the cost would increase.
I was quite annoyed then, when I found that they're doing broadband only deals now. https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/broadband-only . My service is £44 pcm or £26.99 discounted.
Based on this I went on live chat and threatened to cancel the service. Last year it didn't work, they offered to reduce it to £42 pcm and wouldn't budge. This year they offered £33 pcm straight away including the phone line. I asked them to match BT at £29.99 and they beat it with £28 pcm.
Not bad even if I am left with a redundant phone line at £1 per month.0 -
Does anyone have any idea how long I'd expect to wait for retentions to try phoning me, after submitting my notice to cancel?
Few days? Few weeks?
Was offered M100 for £44 pm, which is merely the 'standard' rate, so they weren't attempting to do me any favours there.
Was offered less than that (for 6mths) by the automated system when selecting the 'thinking of leaving' option.
Was hoping to get closer to the £27 pm (winter sale) rate.
Contract doesn't expire until May but as they are putting prices up (my existing M100/Mixit/TalkWeekends will be going up to a ridiculous £73pm) I was hoping to get a renewal now (Broadband only) whilst the winter sale was on (and competitors have their January sales on)0 -

Ok despite my beef with VM last year I cannot fault their service, especially BB as it rarely ever goes down for me.
Cancelled contract with VM (TV, BB and Landline) which had six months left to run on 10/01/21 and outbound retentions called on 11/01/21 less than 24 hours later. A really nice man who was very apologetic over last years issue.
Offered M100 (currently on M200) for £25 a month for 18 months, I accepted as other providers don't do the speeds VM offer and as I mostly stream TV I like the fact VM comes in through the wall near the TV so can use an Ethernet cable to connect TV. Previous providers come through the Openreach socket which is located in a spare room and the Wi-Fi from them was pretty poor in my home due to slower speeds.
I am happy with this, no mis-selling this time, no pushy sales rep. More than happy to get rid of TIVO and Landline both of which were hardly used (landline not plugged in) So I am pretty content with that deal. Of course we all guess prices will increase again in January 2023 so an 18-month contract is never really a big deal!0 -

I just phoned VM to discuss a new deal and they have offered me M100 for £24.00 for 6 months and then it goes up to £26.50 for the next 12 months. (18 month contract in total) I didnt accept as every year you get the letter which adds another £3.50 on the bill so I will be paying £30.00 for 100mps service. Does anyone know when the price hike normal happens each year and whats a good deal on just the 100mps service.0

Unfortunately, having canceled Sunday, I'm still waiting to receive a call from retentions, I suspect I may not now....
I guess I could 'nudge them' by calling to check my cancellation is marked on account (as not had any confirmation email), just don't want to come across as being too eager0 -
£40 for bigger bundle (100mbit, 100channels, weekend calls) without having to cancel and wait for a callback.
I made the mistake of telling them that £40 was my target, I would recommend telling them lower.
Down from £90/month and got out of contract 4 months early due to price increase.1
