Decided to try and reduce the amount I am paying, paying a stupid nearly £60 for basic tv, phone and 100mb broadband. They did give me a decent offer of reducing it to £28, but I rejected that and told them to carry on with the cancellation. When I told them I had seen an offer of £15 for the broadband, they just kept telling me of the costs if things went wrong, £100 to repair this £150 to fix that and that virgin didn't charge for these things. We'll see if the call back, but I am not that fussed. They do have an offer of £24 for 100mb broadband alone in their black friday deals which can be reduced to about £20 with cashback. See if they offer that!1

Any one got any advice. We have virgin internet £48.00 a month but hopefully moving next month. unfortunately virgin don’t have broadband in the area we are moving to so going to have to leave. But they are saying to leave we have to pay £240 which is capped. Why am I paying to leave when it’s not my fault they don’t have their service where I’m moving because if they did I would of stayed.Thanks0

Its not VMs fault that you want to break a legal contract .You have a VM contract at current address only not any place in the UK .See multiple identical posts .1

Hi I got through to disconnections and they offered me the following.100 MB broadband
The minimum TV package (we are not fussed about TV)
The minimum phone line and talk weekends (we never use the landline phone ) all the above for £31 on a 18 month contract (which was near enough what we were previously paying with the previous discounts).I didn’t request a specific disconnection date. But could I do better and formally instigate the disconnection with the disconnections team.In the hope that I might get a callback and a significant further reduction.Any guidance much appreciated ;-)

The package: Volt M500 Fibre Broadband
The price and discount: £46 (£36 for M500 + £10 10GB O2 SIM). Discounted from £66 apparently. The length of the contract: 18 months.I spent several hours haggling with various people. I didn't really want to muck around with cancelling my contract in the hope that the outbound team would make an eleventh-hour offer. I was also offered £41 just for M500 (broadband only, no SIM).
