I've just spoke to them with my current £86.95 a month for Full House TV, M350 bb and Evenings & Weekends Phone and they said the only way they could reduce the price to £84 a month was for me to drop down my services - even to keep them the same if I signed a new contract the price would go up. They said right now they don't have a lot of discounts or offers they are allowed to use to incentivise customers, so I guess for me it's time to shop elsewhere.

Problem could be that you cannot get those services elsewhere .350 BB would require your house to have BT Openreach FTTP available .0

I'm currently paying £54 per month for M100 + Phone and have been paying full price for at least 3 years. The cheapest they would go to was £42 per month.
I'm seriously thinking about moving to BT now, after about 20 years with VM. I don't use the VM landline at all, would BT require me to install a landline?0 -

I think that's what I'm going to do and if it comes to it I'll just move to BT.
I've just found BT's no landline deals; It's £30.99 pcm for 54Mb - 73Mb vs £54 pcm for 100Mb with VM.
According to their broadband deals page VM are charging £51 pcm for the 100Mb service, so I'm not sure why they are charging me £3 extra. A loyal customer surcharge maybe?0 -
Just thought I would let you know what I agreed to, offered maxit m200 and the usual talk weekend and additional v6 box for £59 pm happy with this it’s less £10 a week and I get extra box and doubled internet1

Am on M350 With Phone & Weekend Calls at £63, called Virgin for a better deal as am also out of contract, called the other day and took the option 'Thinking of leaving us' and right away was told that they would reduce it to £51, they wouldnt budge and said that was it. I said that £51 still seemed high since newbies get the same for £39 and that they had sales people actively canvassing in my area offering Virgin at £39. Told that was their only offer and no guarantee if i phoned back would i get different offer, I said I would think about it.
So called back a day latter and said that I had thought about it and went thru my finances again but it was still too much, I was offered £51 again. I said no to that and that I would cancel, at this point they said thats not a problem to cancel, just give them a call when i had sorted out a new provider and that they would arrange a disconnection within a few days.
I said ok, am still want to leave and accept this as my 30 days notice to which they said as I want in contract that the 30 days want required. This was strange as the previous agent said 30 days notice.
So now am a little confused as to if 30 days notice is or is not required, as I had hoped that if i put in my 30 days notice I may have got a better offer from them.
Anyone with any ideas as to this, is it a new tactic from them?

Might be of interest to someone... I was out of contract recently. Was on M100 only at £17 after a previous cancellation & outbound callback from them 18 months ago. So I phoned to cancel again, and the retention team after failing to offer me anything decent put me through to 'cancellations'. They too failed to offer me anything matching my previous deal, best they would offer was £23.50 for M100 (apparently M50 was more expensive). So I went ahead with the cancellation & received the cancellation email. Received a phone call the following day from outbound. They initially offered M100 at £18, but then asked if I would be interested in a SIM as well. I am currently with GiffGaff on a £10 Goodybag (unlimited minutes / texts / 10Gb data). They offered me M100 + SIM (unlimited minutes / texts / 15Gb data) for £23, thereby saving me £4 overall.
Deal accepted

I have M100 + Phone, but I don't use the phone. I've tried to remove the phone, but they always tell me removing the phone would increase the price. Are broadband only packages available to everyone?
When I'm logged in to their site the price of M100 broadband only is showing as £44 pcm. https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/broadband-only0
