  • Spoke to Virgin about a week ago who gave me an upfront credit to cover the cost of the price increase until my contract ends in Aug 22.
Spoke to them again today and said I was still thinking about leaving and they said I wont get a price increase until my contract ends and they will also give me £2.40 discount per month until the end of the contract.

Not bad considering I only paid £47 a month prior to this for the Bigger Bundle with M350 broadband!

We were on M200 broadband costing £42 about to increase to £45 in March.
Rang earlier this week and managed to get volt 350 broadband for £26.24 for 18 months. Very happy with that.
Very nice, we're currently on 350 for £33 due to rise by 3.25, so dropping to 26 would be nice. Shame FTTP is so expensive with BT

Has anyone had any joy at renewing but with a shorter than 18 month contract? I’m going to be moving house within the next year and I don’t want to get hit with cancellation fees in case virgin isn’t available in my next home. Was hoping to get it on a rolling contract but they said it’d be full price for that. Currently on m100. Got offered £20 for 18 months or £26 for m200 but can’t commit to 18 months.
  • Folks, do they normally send out a confirmation email of an agreed deal?

I was offered the Bigger Bundle @ £45 last week which I'm happy enough with but I've not had any confirmation. Do I need to call (and hold. . . . .) again?

They usually do, but you can check your account online too.

The online account is useless for such info. They're trying to push the mobile app just to check your package. I've had to check latest bill and it does mention along the line of "as you've made changes to your package, this will look different next month" but with no specifics

    I might just open a chat window with them. . . .

Yesterday I cancelled my 100Mb broadband and Talk Weekends, which was going up from £24.50 to £52.50 due to discounts ending. Got the call back this evening, offered and accepted £20 on new 18 month contract. Happy with that.
Is that £20.00 a month with No Price Rise in March?

Yes. The price rise doesn't apply.

Dave Thanks for the info. They offered me 100mps Broadband(No Phone Line) for £24.50 after the price rise in March 22. I need to phone them this afternoon to cancel. Once they add another price rise in about 11 months time I will be paying nearly £28.00 a month for 100mps Broadband. Will report back how I get on.
