Quick question about contact details - is there any way in my virgin account to see or set the preferred contact number?   I've submitted my cancellation but haven't heard from the retention team which is a first for me.  I did get email contact from the retention team after the price rise which I said I wanted to cancel but decided to let the service continue until end of fixed contract which is now.

Was with virgin for years and they always contacted me on my mobile but left for sky 18 months ago but then had to start a new account when I signed up again to get BB while working from home.  I do have a virgin phone as it was part of the package but its not used so I wont get any calls to that number.

When I cancelled they always ask me what my mobile is. I think they had that anyway, but you’re right don’t think you can see it on my virgin media

Thanks - went onto the online chat and they confirmed that had my mobile and email as the primary contact method.  Guess they dont want my custom any more.  Will see how long the family can tolerate only having Sky ADSL.   Still hopeful someone will get in touch but will wait and see

Have you had the email saying what day you're leaving plus sending equipment back  etc.?  If so and they're definitely aware you're going then give them a ring and negotiate

I'm on a decent M100 + talk weekend package - £21/month with most of an 18 month contract to run. I'm thinking it would be useful to upgrade to 200mb broadband - anyone got any idea what I should be aiming for in terms of additional costs?
only thing you can do is check the new customer offers to see the difference between the  M100 and M200 and any info you can find in threads like this. then all you can do is phone or try online chat and see what they offer.

My online chat never seems to work. Tried different browsers too.

Yeah they know I'm leaving but perhaps dont care this time.  I did submit a cancellation for the price rise but then continued the service as the offers weren't that good.  Was hoping for a better one now

I'm wondering if anyone has experience cancelling just the 100mb fibre? I was paying £35, they offered me £39 but it still seems steep so cancelled. Am i likely to get a phone call with an offer or is that it? We've had cancellation email. Thanks

You'll have to wait and see. That seems a very high price for 100 mb.. Im paying less for 100..tv..and phone with weekend calls. Sometimes having a package can be cheaper. If they dont phone  you then maybe try ringing them and ask if you can have a package at a cheaper rate or try to negotiate a better price.

Thanks. I appreciate its a vague question but I've never actually cancelled before, normally been given a decent (ish) offer. We have no choice for fibre so it's making me a bit nervous.
