Virgin have announced today that they are carrying Sky entertainment and Cinema in 4K UHD. Anyone who signs up for new contract on Ultimate Oomph get it included. So bear that in mind when coming to renew. Existing ultimate oomph customers have to pay extra £6 month which seems massively unfair. Anyone else with sky cinema in their package can upgrade for £6 month too.0

I was paying £44 a month and was told it was going to be £88 a month. No way I went through the usual performance and only got offered £64. I told them I'd have to leave. Here we go again so I start the usual game of haggling. I was expecting a call back but none came. I rang this morning around 9am and got Scottish call centre. I finally got an offer of £48 a month so am happy and relieved to have it sorted. This tie it's an 18month deal so no stress for 18 months.

That's great news. I also called today as mine was going to be cut off on the 12th they now offered to do it for £23 a month for the next 18 months so I'm well happy with that0

I've found them very unhelpful at this present time. Given the present circumstances we are all faced with why should some customers be treated differently, unfairly and in my case very bluntly refusing to shift on the impending price rise.
I've not been rude with them, far from it rather polite and patient in awaiting an answer from them. The upshot is they let me leave without even trying to keep my custom, they've lost over £600 out of me that I'm now going to pay Sky, I've already had it installed.
So far so good, even the broadband is fast, fast enough for us, something that Virgin said wouldn't be up to scratch, that's the only remark they made when I told them I'm leaving.0 -

Since that post I've had a package from Virgin media which I knew was on it's way, it's a pack to return my equipment.
Also I've had a letter responding to my compliant. Retentions raised the complaint on my behalf, it wasn't me who said "I want to complain"
The upshot is the complaints department don't know their a*** from their elbow. They said they tried to get in touch by phone twice, wrong, never had any calls. They actually said in retentions they'll contact me via email with a resolution, not had that either.
The latest letter states being as we haven't been able to contact you we assume that you agree with our resolution in the matter. It goes on, we're really grateful you have chosen to be with us and always try to give you the best service. It goes on at length to tell me if I'm still not happy bla bla.
Basically they think I'm still a paying customer, my equipment goes back tomorrow, it's the end, the contract is finished.
They owe me £16 apparently too, I wonder how many phone calls that will need to get it back?0 -
Oh dear Brewer 21 Something has gone terribly wrong for you . Looks like right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Good luck getting your rebate !0

Its because they had worked out the bill for the next month i.e what I would have paid if I had not phoned retentions , then I negotiated a new price so instead of changing what I paid 1st Feb they have given me a rebate or credit, in March. I find it hard to follow but I think over three or four months it should balance out. It does seem a strange way of doing things but if I am right they will either put money in my account or March and some of April will be free
I'm not sure I can wait to see if its right in March!0 -
Have gone from.£42 to £61. Called today and cancelled as the lowest they would go is £56.0
