Have M50 only, had the free (unwanted) upgrade to M100. Was paying £20 after price increases. Out of contract, so called retentions yesterday, and the best they could offer was M50 at £27.50, so cancelled. Will update with any followup.1

I'm not a super haggler, but I phoned up yesterday to remove sky sports and straight away they offered to make sky sports free for the next 3 months with no new contract. I called them yesterday to get Sky Sports removed they were very insistent in giving me it free for a while plus upgrading broadband to 200Mb and some sort of unlimited free SIM card. I really wanted to just cancel it but I had work to do so caved in.1

Just received an email from VM, their call centres are prioritising vulnerable customers now. Could this mean there will be no calls from outbound to retain customers?
'Unfortunately, virus quarantine measures have now closed some of our call centres. This is having a big impact on our customers’ waiting times, for which we’re truly sorry. We’re currently taking steps to increase resources and make sure we answer calls as soon as we can. But it’s incredibly busy, and only getting busier. That’s why, for the first time ever, we’re asking that our customers work with us and only call if they have an urgent query that can’t wait. This is hard for us, and frustrating for you. We really appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritise helping our most vulnerable customers.' 0 -
As I assumed, Virgin don't seem to be making any effort to retain customers at the moment given the circumstances. Signed up just over 18 months ago paying £75 a month for best package (200mbps broadband, tv everything but HD, landline), then when the contract came up, it jumped upto £140 a month. Rang to see if they could do anything as the Oomph bundle is £79 but includes far more than what I'm currently getting (500mbps, all channels, sim card etc.). Best they could do was £103 like-for-like with what they're currently providing, so told them I'll cancel my tv and landline. Shame0

What are you replacing BB with ??

Keeping broadband with Virgin for the time being, as didn't want to gamble without having a better option. Currently paying £47 for 200mbps, they offered to drop it to £45 if I locked into a 12 month contract, which I declined.0

Probably best as OpenReach are not visiting homes .
