M100 and line with weekend calls - discounts just ending and monthly cost going up to £47. No thanks. So just played the usual game over the phone with them. Got it down to £35, but not good enough, especially with effective <£21 on offer for new customers. So went ahead and cancelled. Let's see how long it takes for them to call - will report back.
Got there in the end - £22/month for 18 months. Happy enough with that...

Yes, and 4 days after I gave notice (which was Thursday, they called me on the Monday)

Current services are, Talk weekends., m200 broadband, mix TV.  Discount recently expired so bill increased to £66.00 .  Offered £3.00 discount by first line operator, which I refused point blank. Then she came back with £51.00. Which I refused, then got cut off when being transferred through to next line retentions.

Rang back, informed then that I think their offer was insulting considering I have been with them for 20 years and got transferred straight to retentions and they offered me same services for £55.00.

I have now asked to leave and I am in 30 days notice

Was paying £17.00 for M50 broadband (Retentions deal from 18 Months ago) Price had creaped up to £23.50 with increases.
Recievd email yesterday to say my next bill would be £38.50 (18 Months was obviously up)
Rang to say im leaving and was offered M100 broadband for £28.00 or M50 broadband for £27.00 i said no and went ahead with the Cancellation.
Got a call from retentions this morning (that i very nearly missed!)
*Offered M100 broadband for £12.00 on a 12 Month Contract* then £32.00 after until the 18th Month but will Cancel and re-negotiate after 12 Months.
Very pleased and it's the best broadband deal i've ever had!! :)
  • Are people actually getting put through to retentions when they cancel? First advisor I spoke to said they don’t do call backs anymore and both times I’ve called I’ve never been “put through” to retentions. Formally cancelled this morning so fingers crossed for a good offer (Full House TV, M200 and Talk More Anytime).
  • Had the call. £52 for 12 months for the same package. Sorted.

Currently paying £103 a month for sky sports, br sports and 100mb. Got offered £99 a month and a free sim. Then woman offered to take the phone line off (I always thought they bundled it in so made no real difference) but after a lengthy pause put me through to someone else. Asked for the tv to be taken off altogether but still only down to £40 a month and a SIM card with data to use if the internet isn’t working (didn’t understand this,  I don’t want a SIM card!) so have handed my notice in.
