Been with Virgin a long time, have been on a M50 broadband deal only (had a recent upgrade to M100), our contract is up next month, which was due to go up again to £34 I think, phoned VM to be offered £30.50 a month which I declined and put in my 30 day notice, had a phone call the next day from retentions, was offered M100 for £26 a month of M50 for £21 a month, went with the M50 as it's plenty fast enough for us.0

M100 and line with weekend calls - discounts just ending and monthly cost going up to £47. No thanks. So just played the usual game over the phone with them. Got it down to £35, but not good enough, especially with effective <£21 on offer for new customers. So went ahead and cancelled. Let's see how long it takes for them to call - will report back.0

Been with virgin nearly 18 years.
My previous deal was 200mb broadband for 32.50 a month for 18 months (12 month contract)
I phoned and got
Maxit TV with bt sports in Hd
200mb broadband
Talk weekend (apparently don't need to hook phone up which is good)
Years free prime voucher will be emailed
£49 a month with £15 off for the first 3 months so 34 a month then 49 for the year.
Don't think I could have got any better.1 -

Not really looking to move from sky to virgin for TV, but useful to get a price point anyway...0 -
Hi all,My bill jumped from £41 to £54.50 this month after some loyalty discounts ended. Obviously not too chuffed with that so gave them a call. My package is:Player TV (with old tivo box)100mb broadbandtalk weekendsCustomer service offered £3 off (hah!) so i said I'd like to leave. Through to retentions who offered the same package for £33.50 for 12 months, or £33 for similar package with a V6 box but £35 activation charge.i thought that wasn't bad but I said I'd go away and think about it. Called back a few days later, and asked if they could improve on that. So the next offer was:Mixit TV (with V6)100mb broadbandtalk weekends£27 per month with £35 activation for the V6.Same package as before pretty much, with mixit tv instead of player though I think they are pretty much the same thing. I thought that was probably the best I was going to get (without actually cancelling anyway) so I took that offer.Pretty happy with that!R0
