Sent you a small donation too - hope he gets well soon.
PS - you should consider getting pet insurance, it won't cover anything relating to this incident now, but will cover future injuries or illnesses and its not expensive. I pay £5 a month0 -

Well Dave has had his vet visit done Monday.
They took the stitches out of his back, which is a relief for me, means he can't get at them when they start to itch.
He seems happier on the dog cushion, Perry the dog is not amused, but Dave has move snugging padding. And easier to lift about whilst he is on that so as not to hurt him.
His fur is starting to grow back, hopefully the other cats won't be so snooty towards him soon.
Another thick bandage that acts like a cast on his arm/wrist, he's not happy about it and lumbers about with it hopefully 4 more weeks after xrays and it can come off.
And the triumph is he has developed a hoping skill to get in and out of the litter tray so as not to stand in anything he has created :rotfl:
He really is doing well, and donations from complete strangers are trickling in which husband and I are eternally grateful for, people have been so lovely.
Our little Dave is on the mend0 -
We have a Dave Cam so people can tune in and watch him.

Oh my word, I've only just noticed this! There goes my day at work. :rotfl:
What a gorgeous boy. Bless him with that big cast on his leg! So pleased to hear he's coming on in (non-literal) leaps and bounds.
p.s. The link to donate on the webcam page isn't clickable, so people can't click on it to get to the donation bit. If you're allowed to enter HTML code in the webcam description, change the link to:
<a href="https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/Dave">https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/Dave</a>
(Make sure you copy the above exactly). That'll make it a link that people can click.
If the description editor has a "Source" button, click on that and paste the code above in that view, otherwise it might just show the code on the page, rather than treating it as code to make a link.0 -

Thanks very much will tell the husband
This morning Dave stood up to eat his breakfast :j:j:j
Although very vocal about getting out, so gave him a little cuddle, he didn't like going back in his crate, poor thing, it's going to be heart wrenching but I will be strong it's for his own good0 -
Oh you poor thing - I'd feel terrible too, even knowing it's for the best.
How long does he need to live in the crate for?

This is week 2 so another 4 weeks max to go.
I try to get him out for a few hours each day, now i am back at work it will be in the evening after tea, but we pop in often to see him, the dog wanders in and out, it was my craft room but son has taken it over for now as a office / craft room so in the evenings he has my son in there.
The other cats not really interested, although Georgie did come up onto the bed when i had Dave out for a fuss, she got one too, whereas before she kept away.
After the crate he will have another 2 weeks being shut in that room, and then freedom as long as everything is fine, although will have litter trays everywhere upstairs where he is as i can't see him managing the stairs yet to go out.0 -
I am loving the note on the webcam at the mo :rotfl:0
