Par for the course. I advised them 3 weeks ago that I had cancelled my DD mandate and I got an e-mail yesterday to say:

Quote: Your payment of £xx.xx to Iresa Limited has failed.

The payment was for "Direct Debit Payment For Energy Supply to Iresa ".

If there is an issue with this payment please contact Iresa Limited at home@iresa.co.uk. Unquote

There is no issue as far as I am concerned. No doubt a request for meter readings will hit my inbox shortly.

This really is a relationship that just keeps on giving. The reminder to provide meter readings was sitting in my inbox this morning despite the fact that my gas transferred to a new supplier nearly 7 weeks ago, and my electricity transferred 3 weeks ago. Still no final bill for gas which I suspect is down to the fact that they are still having issues getting the calorific value correct for billing purposes.

Funnily enough I received one of those this morning as well. As usual it doesn't give any clue as to which fuel it relates to and it doesn't seem to matter to them that I am no longer a customer.

There would be something amiss if these morons didn't receive at least one complaint a month from me. :D

Surely they can't have that many customers left and with no new customers signing up for a long time and customer complaints stacking up with the Ombudsman every one of which is likely to cost them money they can't afford Iresa's cash flow situation must be dire and a major cause for concern for anyone who was stupid enough to invest.

I just can't understand why Ofgem haven't put them out of their misery and are still allowing them to continue trading.

Working for me .........but dreadfully slow -showing my latest DD in credit balance but hanging when I try to drill down on transactions.
I'll leave it til next week to update meter readings -hopefully there will be less strain on their servers by then!!

I'm not sure why everybody tries to submit their meter reads at the same time...probably because stupid Iresa asks for readings at the same time. But hold off for a day, or submit at 5am or something...

So what's going on? No new customers allowed for a couple of months now; people leaving; people cancelling DDs. And why have Iresa created a new website? Did the owner have nothing better to do? The original site I would have said was adequate.

So what's going to happen? CS is still non-existant; fines imposed on them will be mounting up. I ....guess.... they are accumulating funds over the Summer -low-use- period and then will be doing a runner? I'm still with them; gas readings have failed to be validated over the last month - not sure whether this is project Nexus OR Iresa haven't updated they systems to handle the new integration. ** Has anybody had a gas reading recorded on account in June? **

I'm sticking at present but making damn sure I know what my credit balance is. I believe, whatever happens, I cannot be cut off. But, if (when) Iresa goes under, the account balances may take a while to sort out...

EDIT: my manually submitted gas reading (yesterday) using the OLD portal has appeared on my account this morning; wayhay! (Forgets about Iresa for another month....)
