I still see no meter readings other than my opening one from several months ago. I have been in regular contact with them and they keep promising that once the initial reading has been validated the rest will show.

To date, I have yet to receive a gas bill other than for standing charges.

I switched us to Iresa from British Gas based on the recommendations from the Cheap Energy Club. We got a letter from Iresa...

    and then nothing.

The switch did not take place, but it didn't stop Iresa from sending us bills (was the Cheap Energy Club paid for this? If so what an absolute joke).

We paid these bills but were still getting bills from British Gas, who were being paid by Direct Debit.

After dozens of calls and emails (the bills are in my partner's name) we finally got the account cancelled and a refund, but now we're getting monthly bills saying we owe them -£x pounds. Does this mean they still owe us money? It's all very confusing but we're still struggling to make contact with their non-existant customer service.

It's pretty shameful that MSE/Cheap Energy Club would recommend such a shoddy outfit (even with the provisos of "this company is new...") and not a good reflection on this website.

Also, the CEC emails are pretty irritating in that there's no one button unsubscribe to get rid of the emails (I don't trust the 'club' any more) so I'm periodically sent emails telling me of more great new offers from other fly-by-night companies.

    Pretty disappointing all in all!

How much did you pay to Iresa? How much did you get back from Iresa?

Regarding MSE emails change settings at
    https://clubs.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub/account/edit
EG under monitoring information set "When should we tell you that there's a cheaper tariff?" to "When I save more than £250".

    Or leave the club
    https://clubs.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub/account/delete

MSE just present information that is provided by MoneySuperMarket. Did you read the MSE Customer Service Rating:? For Iresa (not currently available for new customers)
    1. the number of votes was very low - a warning sign on its own and
    2. the few votes that there were indicated that not all was rosey

I moved Gas and Electricity to Iresa because they were the cheapest for both in my area.

Iresa are now claiming this: "our gas readings are showing as having failed validation. I have escalated this to our team for investigation and resubmitted the readings for you."

This is the latest regarding my switch away to E.ON from Iresa.... The gas market are working through a backlog of readings and will validate them all as soon as possible.

I thought 'Project Nexus' was finished a couple of weeks ago at least?

According to this it should have been completed by 6th June. Even if you add on another 2 weeks on that would take it 20th June.

    https://www.gazprom-energy.co.uk/large-corporate-business/regulatory-information/project-nexus/
    When will it happen?
Project Nexus is being managed by Ofgem and PwC and is currently on track for implementation on 01 June 2017. The upgrade process will take place across the entire gas industry over a number of ‘non effective days’ from 23 – 31 May. The first normal business day will be 06 June 2017 to allow for backlogs to be cleared.

We’ll be communicating with our third party intermediary partners on a monthly basis from March until implementation. We expect minimum impact to our customers but we’ll write to those who are affected by the changes that Project Nexus brings.
Of course it all depends when Iresa actually submitted or resubmitted the readings for validation as it can take up to 14 days for them to be validated

Your post does not make any sence to me, sorry.

Are you sure the bills you received from your old supplier were not simply catch up bills?

    Good luck!

Iresa still claiming that they have not received my final gas reading from E.ON. E.ON's Malc saying that all figures have been passed over.
I've passed on the phone number given to me by Malc for them to call to get the final readings sorted but they're playing dumb with me (which they are) !

Hope the number turns out to be useful DonnySaver. It's what all suppliers use when they need to talk to us about a switch.

Suppliers do not pass meter readings directly to other suppliers, but rather they go via a third party

If you are supplied via an IGT, that causes even longer delays sometimes.

A universal IT upgrade recently also caused dealys to many people switching gas
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/energy/2017/05/gas-switch-delays

Can I ask, why did you even move your gas to Iresa - I'm sure there were cheaper options avaialble

That's right footyguy. Meter readings go through a third party (Data Collector) and aren't sent directly from us to the other supplier. I mentioned this to DonnySaver when I spoke to them offline.

Iresa have a new web portal for customer accounts available this morning.

When you log in to your account you have a choice between viewing the old and the new.

There must be a reason for them going to the expense of creating it but other than looking slightly different I can't immediately see where any meaningful changes have been made and from what I can see the main issue with the incorrect calorific value calculation and use of the 'multiplier' for gas still persists.

Tried entering readings into the new portal but it won't accept any input so I went back to the old one.

My gas reading from last month has not yet appeared on my account although the electric has and these were input on the same day.

Beginning to regret moving to this lot. I wouldn't be surprised if they go belly-up before long.
