Just got the automated emails requesting reads. IRESA had my final reads 5 weeks ago. Utterly hopeless to the very end!

Helping a relative, the switch went well (except that they switched the wrong property but then corrected it within 10 days).

However, soon after, masses of SPAM arrived (per day, 100 in the Inbox and over 500 in the SPAM folder). The Iresa account was provided with the relatives previously unused email Soon after this,

This connection between Iresa and SPAM is a very tenuous. Even so, has anyone had a similar coincidence?

Looks like the 'new' portal has disappeared for the time being?
For all their issues, the 'old' site actually seemed pretty well made to me (500 errors about the site being down whenever Iresa invited all their customers to visit at once are a hosting capacity issue, not a problem with the site itself)

New one looked alright, didn't look at it much before it went, expect it will be back once the 'surge' is over.

Submitted my readings to the new portal yesterday, looked like they'd failed, but today, not only is the electricity reading present, the gas is too! Makes a change for them to be so prompt.

I have a unique email address for my Iresa account, not had any spam to that address at all.

I've failed getting my gas reading accepted for 2 months (first 3 months no problem); thought it was 3rd party validation but this only happens once every 6 months? Then it worked today. So its just an unreliable system.
    No spam here either.

Same here and no spam received.

DD actioned a couple of days ago and already showing as a credit in the account. Same for the older relative we help with their account.

Have always found it best to submit the electric meter readings on the last day of the month (despite receiving the reminder at least a week before).

Hello, and welcome to MSE Dorcots :hello:

The supplier has not been accepting new customers for quite some time now

Anyway, would just like to add, I am another with a unique email adrress for Iresa and can also confirm no spam has ever been received on that email account.

Looks like you are alone in this alleged experience

    Good luck!

New web portal not available today...........but old portal is operating like greased lightning - log in thru to drill down on transactions almost instantaneous ! Wonder if they have invested in new kit??
Also, the last few emails sent to me (since 28th May),are now appearing in support tickets...never happened previously

^^^ All my previously supplied meter readings are now showing too :j

No bill yet that includes consumption based on those meter reads, but the charges are shown online within transactions as you say :)

Was not aware of any problems until I saw this thread this morning.

Signed up with Iresa In March. Switch went from 12 April.

Only problem I had was a delay in the switch for Gas taking place this was due to my Gas being supplied by an IGT.(Independent Gas Transporter)

Sent them a couple of E-mails with my Gas readings to ask why delay and they confirmed what I thought. It takes about 8 to 9 weeks to change my gas whenever I switch due to IGT. Only took 5 weeks this time.

Each time I submit a reading I get an automated reply to say they have it and it will be confirmed when checked.

Had no problems with the website. Did have the option of versions to use the other day. Chose the new version and its gone back to the old this morning.

I would say I am quite happy with service I have had.

I do read my meters often which I have been doing for 15 years since we moved in. Makes it so easy to keep an eye on usage and because I use kWh's for consumption makes it so much easier to do comparisons.
