I was awarded £50 compo by the Ombudsman after Iresa took 7 months to set up and bill my electricity account. I have other complaints ongoing. Rinse and repeat.
Bear in mind that the £50 comes on top of an EO’s fee......This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

The well must be running dry unfortunately. Must just be running on accounts in credit (including closed ones not yet refunded)....I have other complaints ongoing. Rinse and repeat.0 -

Oh I see, it was a goodwill gesture awarded to you by the Energy Ombudsman.
As you will discover, each proposed settlement depends on the merits/circumstances of the individual complaint.
I've been awarded differing goodwill amounts in the past by the OS, varying from nothing to £250
How quickly are you getting Energy Ombudsman complaints dealt with?
I filed a complaint with the Energy Ombudsman mid September. Whilst I soon got an acknowledgement, it took them a further 6 weeks to get to "Ready for Investigation"
Almost 3 months later still, I'm still awaiting their proposed resolution, and I didn't think there was much to investigate/consider in that particular complaint.
(I'm not expecting any goodwill gesture for this complaint, nor any financial compensation either)0 -
I think Iresa's ticket system is more messed up than normal. I have two ongoing issues. My latest email to complaints@iresa.co.uk about issue 1 got added to an open ticket about issue 2.Only £50, I got £75
Oh man, I only got £30.0 -
Are there any of you happy Iresa Customers that have had a smart meter fitted by Iresa?
Are they capable of successfully organizing that?0 -

I'm off for a Tonik.
My wife says ( and I have to agree after considering things carefully) that I am spending far too much time monitoring our account with Iresa, sending them mail that is ignored, queuing on the phone when I could be saving the planet, watching our Bank account direct debits and also reading this thread - get a life she says and pay a bit extra.
One of my favourite TV channels is Talking Pictures TV, and there was a recent Terry Thomas film where Iresa was summed up precisely: Absolute Shower!

I’ve been with Iresa now for 10 months.
Had a fuse upgrade just before I joined Iresa, but UK Power Networks were only able to connect part of the new supply. My previous electricity company were prepared to come out and connect the rest free of charge, but because I’d already decided to leave them said I needed to get the work done by the new company.
Wasted hours on the phone and emailed countless times. After many months finally got a reply from them saying they would come out, but wouldn’t connect to the old meter, would only connect to a new meter which would cost me over £80.
Have been paying monthly by direct debit for my electricity, but still have not been billed for any usage or standing charge even though I’ve been supplying them with meter readings. It’s just taken them over 4 months to reply to my email asking them to bill me correctly. Reply just said they’d contact the accounts department, but still no bill has materialised. It took months for them to give my old energy supplier my final readings, although they managed to change the readings from the ones I’d supplied.
If you’re thinking of changing over to Iresa my advice would be not to touch them with a barge pole! I’m certainly looking to go elsewhere.0 -
Yes they are a shower ans I would love to switch, but who else come even remotely close to matching the price?0
