I gave up waiting. Today I received an email telling me how much they will be taking as a one off debt payment* which I tried to log on to check and a meter reading request. Presumably the same for others and their site has limited capacity.

    *£36. Debt on 31 Dec, £36.66.

I didn't get anywhere until I rang them, starting at #43 in the queue, it took around 45 minutes, since talking to them they have been much more responsive, rightly so too!

I predict my Leccy credit will be circa £39 Credit when I come to the end of the Flexi 4, the increased Jan DD is only a one month increase in my case as Iresa accepts that my projected usage at the start of the contract is correct and it's back to normal for my Feb DD, I could have accepted paying them a one off payment if I was really in debit as per their T&C, I most certainly don't want to build up a huge amount of Credit as my Leccy usage always comes down in the Summer.

Iresa's lack of proper customer communication is the reason for this huge customer backlash, compounded by them not been able to answer queries online through their ticketing system orTwitter DM because answering the phones took priority with the huge increase n the volume of complaints.

I will be monitoring my bills very closely from now own, my one mistake was sending my meter reading in on the 20th before the DD went out of my account on the 22nd, (pending with Iresa until the 24th), which created a technical debit, as they were two days late taking the DD, although they had raised my DD as I was supposed to be in debt before!

Their method of calculation as I read it is based on the meter reading you send, usually on the 25th in my case, then they calculate to the end of the month pro rata on this reading (Esitmated By Supplier).

Sorry if my post is a ramble, I will stay with them for now, Outfox the Market looks tempting but I suspect they have quirky rules as well, I am with EDF for gas and they seem OK thus far

I can't see any cheaper deals until I change in August so I am sitting tight...for now.

Although after looking at the Trustpilot reviews I am concerned, they must have a stupid billing system or they are absolute crooks, mmmmmm

One tip that others may find useful. Every time you contact them via DM, start your message with 'Complaint' (all my messages now seem to fall in that category anyway). Then, when they fail to reply, or resolve the 'complaint' within 8 weeks, you can go straight to the Omsbudman without further delay. And hopefully collect your £50 shortly afterwards.

Can I enquire as to what £50 you are referring to, please?

I was awarded £50 compo by the Ombudsman after Iresa took 7 months to set up and bill my electricity account. I have other complaints ongoing. Rinse and repeat.
