I think you have already answered your own question, go with house 3. And I stand corrected on the bathroom issue for house 1, thought is was a bedroom on the floor plans because of the shape/location.
Would try to knock some money off for the purple gloss kitchen units

I would go with House 1. Area would be more important to me than the current finish.
House 2 doesnt do anything at all for me.0 -
I am not keen on houses with public footpaths beyond the back garden. Anything that isn't another garden can be a big security problem.0

I agree with you, there is no history of break in's so far, i've checked and i would do something about security, i.e some extra fencing on the top of the wall, more secure gates, security lights, cameras and better doors and windows bring it up to date making it a bit more secure.I am not keen on houses with public footpaths beyond the back garden. Our tastes differ. In short:
1] Never buy anything directly underneath any form of bridge .... there'd be a lot of muck blown off that onto the house - and "what if" .....
It just would need a kitchen tart up, a splash of paint and carpets at some point in the next 5-10 years. Oh and lose the bum washer. They're just odd.... for odd people.
2] Needs nothing really, except maybe a normal bath.
3] That is utterly disgusting. That "taste" is vile.

Location, Location, if you have the vision and the funds you can make any house stunning if it has the right bones. You can't move it however!
Number 3 is a standard new build box on an estate with identikit homes, done by someone who has "dresssed" it to sell. It lacks soul for me. Number 2 is similar, a boxy boring (to me) house.
I love Yarm High St and so, for me, if I had to choose from the options given, it would be number 1. Although the footpath/bridge would be a concern for me.0 -
House 1 has certainly got potential and I was set on that one....until I spotted number 3
Without a shadow of a doubt...i would go for number 3 x0 -
Bridge by number 1 would stop me even viewing it.
I don't know what the location is like but the saying goes - always buy the worst house on the best street.
You can change the house but not the location.
Tbh I've never had to decide between a few "potentials" - I've always known which house is "the one" when looking round and then not viewed any others after that but maybe I'm weird!
Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.0 -

Going to ask one of the neighbours of they have had any issues with the footpath, it has houses further down on that path/walkway into the high street so find it hard to believe it would have kids loitering, crimes being committed etc etc but it is there...0 -
Whats the concern about the bridge? Its a railway line and only used 1-2 times a day of that.Clutterfree wrote: »Bridge by number 1 would stop me even viewing it.
