So it would seem if Boris gets his way. What the real Brexiters and Little englanders will think of this remains to be seen. As for the European Court of Justice, there will still need to be a mechanism to police whatever agreement the EU and the U.K. (Or at least England) come to. Perhaps they may come up with the idea of a group of judges chosen from each side.

As someone that started out Remain up until Xmas/January time and slowly shuffled over to Leave, I personally never expected or wanted to pull up the drawbridge. I've said before that despite Junker's outbursts, I view the EU as fairly pragmatic when it comes down to the brass tacks and can't see that some sort of mutual arrangement won't be reached, which will involve compromise.

It's never going to make the extreme Leavers happy nor the Remainers who want total integration or who seem to want the drawbridge up so that they can moan about how awful things are.

I'm not entirely sure that we will leave actually either, it does appear that the EU is looking at itself and asking why if the EU works so well, so many citizens in many countries are discontent, even though some of those reasons are not necessarily EU related.

If the EU needs to make an example of Britain to discourage other leavers, then you have to ask, is the EU in fact an economic prison containing reluctant remainers?

Well Mr O appeared at last and I can't remember a time when I've been so pleased to see him lol

I thought it was a good speech - although I know many would not agree.

Agree, good in the circumstances. It was as if he'd had a Damascene moment since his previous Remain ranting.

I voted out because I got fed up of these EE blocking my driveway lol

:rotfl: yeah ia am totally with that! All RECENT migrants and even indeed home-grown people flaut the rules, park over driveways, lowered kerbs without council say so ,park over gardens without the kerb been paid and allowed by the council! In general they just do as they want from what i have seen in London and get away with it 90% of the time as no one in local Government does their job properly anymore!

There has been a lot of screaming about the the dishonesty of the Leavers, such as claiming we pay more than we do. But equally the Remainers talked up a market crash with so much gloom and doom predicted that the markets have been scared senseless, so it is hardly surprising things is a wee bit tense at the moment. I wonder how things would have turned out had the debate been more reasoned and nuanced?

You'd think they would have a sense of responsibility, but no. I doubt either side had.

No i think i was refering more to a comment that member JohnRo made about it being all old white homophobic Anti Europeans! His concerns were that all young people would migrate and all young people voted in and thats clearly CRAP! I am young and i voted OUT and i am staying with OUT if there is another Vote MR.BLAIR !

Yes probably the majority of young voted in but i think its alot more balanced like a 45/55 share of the vote ,depending in areas of the country! Also i saw onTV a young black man saying he's voting out he stated, few black Tory politicians were for out and i have seen numerous Asian's walking aroung in Ealing on Friday with 'Vote Leave badges ' on: ! So not all white and old then!:T

Oh on another note there should be no 2nd vote! Why? You had your chance and no its done! Do not like it ,tough luck, you should have voted 'Remain ' then and all of this is from panick!

Give it a few months the markets will calm, sterling will rise and with a positive forward outlook the UK will do even better! Alas will still be European just not part of a European superstate, more like Switzerland with trade and links. The Germans have already got a prepared document to enforce on all the lefties and EE members in the EU to accept as Germany holds the power and they want GOODTERMS with their sister country the UK! Basically will still be in ,in a sort of way but on the fringes for trade and some migration for needed specialist jobs and no to the drabs from Albania,Romania and the likes who just come here for benefits! The Polish /Latvian are different and i feel are hard working and should not be considered with the same disstain as their is towards like Albanians ,Bulgarians etc.

lastly why should the UK keep taking the best of the crop from these developing countries! They should not come here and build up their own countries and not leave them to fail as its £ that attracts them! After the WW2 you did not see huge Que's of Brits and Germans looking to leave for everywhere else, some did but most stayed and built their countries backup ,so why cannot these economic migrants do the same! Why? To lazy and cannot be bothered just want it easy and straight away like these hoards of Africans on boats and from the East Afghans/Mongolians etc.

yes we can talk all day about the conflicts the West have started that may have caused all this upmovement but it should not be allowed to flourish that they can just walk into a country and demand asylum and get a free house to which even I would not be entitiled too! Its all wrong this human rights and Foreign policy on migrants, indigeous peoples are treated like !!!!!
