The brexit campaign was all about pandering to prejudices, there was and is no other plan beyond the jingoistic slogans, which clearly appeal to a certain type, and that everything will sort itself out eventually... hopefully.

So the IN campaign was so truthful.

    What 'type' might that be?

I'm not accusing either campaign of lying, though you appear to be implying they did which is interesting. All will become clear in time.

    The jingoistic type, surely...

the stats are what they are.

The 'stats' are nothing but guesswork and supposition, due to the fact that it was a secret ballot

Neither side were clear with their facts! My family made up our minds when Cameron came back from his EU meeting with no real concessions and still bleated on about how good the EU were. Ask the steelworkers how they felt about allowing prices for steel being controlled by the EU. America have shown the way by making sure Chinese steel is priced out of their market

'Stats' can also be manipulated to 'show' all kinds of 'fact'.

An example is the pre-referendum bar charts, showing huge differences between the factions, but a close look showed that the bars were not shown on a scale starting at zero, thus vastly exaggerating these differences.

You like to stereotype people, but in so doing, you are often well off the mark. There are many reasons why people voted Leave and I haven't noticed too many of them attacking those who voted Remain.

I graduated 10 years ago and my first job was in Germany. I was a member of several different orchestras for several years. The orchestras in this country are not well funded and it was easier to find work in Europe. However, I still voted Leave for 101 reasons. My husband is a GP and also voted Leave. Neither of us are the 'jingoistic' type to which you refer. Neither are 'any' of the people we know who voted Leave.

I said "jingoistic slogans that appeal to a certain type"

you said "what type is that"

I said "the jingoistic type surely"

You're being very defensive, I'll leave it at that.

There seems to be much more stereotyping from the Remain brigade, on these forums and on other social media sites.

For those crying "bad loser" etc: For a change, I find myself agreeing with Farage: a decision of this magnitude shouldn't be made by a simple 52-48 majority of those that cast their votes. Leave has got less than 38% of the total electorate.

Yes, let's have another referendum and if that doesn't bring up the result you want, we could have another after that, say the best of three? In fact, why stop there? We could keep on going ad infinitum until the Remains do get the result they want. I voted Leave, by the way and make absolutely no apology for it.
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.
