The Referendum was meant to stop people from voting UKIP, not to do anything real.

A Chinese TV commentator said nobody expected LEAVE to win, including Boris Johnson. This is why there is NO PLAN on how to get out of Europe.

When they actually realise that every other action will lead to loss of EU subsidy and therefore immediate strikes and protests, WHO is going to take it on? The "leader" will be the most hated figure in the whole country.

If we accept LEAVE is a positive act like getting off drugs, the withdrawal pains are going to be terrible, and the patient will howl and scream like Linda Blair in Exorcist.

In retrospect, David Cameron should have left it to the end of the Tory term. If the result is STAY, he is showered in glory, and the Tories get elected in the afterglow.

If the result is LEAVE, he can lose the election, let Labour handle the hot potato, and be the one blaming the incumbent.

Unlike Alexander, they can't just hack away the Gordian knot that is the EU.

What a waste of taxpayers money to have paid MP's wasting their time debating this.

    take a day off.

Why so ? Do you not understand how our democracy works ?

It is not your decision what MPs do or do not debate ,unless you petition them accordingly.

My view from the outset was that a Leave vote could be the beginning of the end of the EU.

19 of the remaining 26 members are in financial crisis. Germany holds the purse strings.

It was to give everyone a voice. The EU is far removed from the original trading block that the UK joined. Only people that ever had an opportunity to vote on the topic would be 60 by now. Only fair that the mandate be renewed with a democratic vote.

Do you think by 2020 we will have new-look Passports? If we are independent again we can go back to the black with silver/gold finish not Gold/navy of the 70's&80's as the Crest of Arms for the Uk on the cover?

more like this aka not a tag but similar size!

What views do you want to accommodate?

Our elected MPs have a duty to represent what is in their view the best interests of UK citizens, including those not yet old enough to vote

Even if the ballet had the one option to remain the majority would vote to leave - deal with it.

That would keep them on their toes !

Parliament is obliged to hold a debate on any formal petition with over 100k signatures ( votes on the debate are non binding on the government)

Elections concern a change of government .Once we have a duly elected parliament we can petition and lobby it as we wish.

What exactly do you want them to debate?

The point is we can vote in a government that will implement the change we require at the next election or the next or the next without there hands being tied by the EU.

What change? Not a game being played. This is it. The end.

I can't see too many MP's supporting this affront to democracy, although I hear there is one Labour MP tweeting this drivel.

Why can't you just accept the result? we knew it would be close, we knew it could go either way so why cry?

The MP's are elected by the people to ratify the wishes of the majority of the people. You lost the argument, accused everyone on the other side of being small minded and/or xenophobic and clearly could not convince the majority of British people to remain.
And why would they want to?, why would you want to?
