    Out of course :D

The country is already full. With more unlimited immigration salary will drop dead and our kids can't ever buy a house!
I would so love to buy into the immigration argument but when the givernment can't even control the non-EU immigration levels now (something not controlled by EU and solely the repsonsibility of the UK government) why do you think leaving the EU will help?

The real problem with leaving the EU is that we will still be stuck with our own incompetent MPs (from all parties) who will still manage to screw things up

The truth, therefore, is likely to lay somehwere in between. A truth that, unfortunately, means that this is not as straightforward a decision as many supporters (of both sides) would have us believe. I guess if it were straightforward there wouldn't even be a debate.

Couldn't agree more. The thing I don't understand is how anyone can possibly be so vociferous in their views either way.

and that's your sole reason for voting "out"? That one, spurious, statistic?

Fair enough, we all need a reason to vote one way or another, the main thing is that we all vote.

I'd like to make my decision based on what I perceive as a fair weighing up of the options. Problem is, between the "Leave" lies and the "Remain" lies its pretty difficult to balance it up - Which pile of horse s**t is the highest I guess.

Germany wants us to stay IN coz they don't want to pick up the EU bill on their own, so they say stay IN and split the bill.
What happens if you push this button?

Now you see, no one has proposed how to limit non-EU migration, which exceeds EU migration into the country.

There's nothing to say we can't become a densely populated country, like many other countries, but we need to be planning for it and changing how our housing is designed.

Surely, it is the job of the Government to represent the views of the people. If the people wish to leave the EU then it is the government's job to facilitate this and, only by holding a referendum will the government know for sure what the people's will is.

It is then the job of the government to lay out the possible risks for voting either way. If the people then decide that they are lying or simply wish to ignore the warnings then you can't turn around and blame the goevrnment for offering you the choice.

Agree, but that's my point. They offered the people what they wanted (referendum) only because they were scared they were losing votes to UKIP at the time of the election. If they believed then what they are saying now they shouldn't have offered it just to gain votes, knowing the damage they are saying a Brexit would cause. They should have argued their point against referendum due to the so called dangers of Brexit during their election campaign in order to keep from losing voters to UKIP and to remain credible (rather than offer us what UKIP were calling for just to gain votes and win the election).

I completely agree that the reality is something in between the scaremongering and utopia proposed by both sides whatever the outcome. However, I am strongly in favour of a Brexit because I do not want to maintain the status quo. All I know if that I feel the current situation isn't working so I want out.

I read something recently where the question was reversed. If it was a referendum to JOIN the EU (as the EU stands right now), would you vote to be a part of it, or would you vote to remain independent? Very interesting I thought, made me think.

As I understand it the Leave proposed points system applies to EU and non-EU immigrants equally and works by accepting those that we want/need and rejecting the rest.

The UK, along with much of Western Europe is already a densely populated area. See any population density map for confirmation.
