You have to ask why it's tucked away there in small print. I doubt many recipients get that far after seeing 'Channel 5, If you don't pay, we'll take it away', before hurriedly reaching for the cheque book!
The strap-line is designed to intimidate, the small print is an attempt to exonerate intimidation accusation! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Especially since it's an unrelated arm of the company that's involved in the show. It can only be there to try and intimidate.0

Is it reasonable to expect the lay man to actually know what that means? Most of the TV occurances mention high court action, but all involve house visits and removal of property. So for those that are not particularly legally savvy or easily intimidated, will they know where they actually stand?0 -
I agree with you , however that additional sentence is their "get out of jail card" as far as the CSA are concerned.
