It's really just more about advertising the brand ... the more it is seen the more it will ingrain into people's subconscious.

Not necessarily in a positive way;)

Let's just say it wasn't my experience

I think this is how urban myths start...this could be interesting.

I can see the Daily Mail headline already 'mother of 3 shocked and in tears after Lidl refused to allow her to pack her booze Into a Tesco bag for life'. Social services were informed about the trauma to the children and compensation is being sought for emotional distress and discrimination.

I've already mentioned once, the very large amount of posts on the vent board by new posters in the last couple of weeks on controversial subjects , mostly where the posters don't return . Someone's got an axe to grind.

Prank carrier bag film, outraged member of staff put the carrier bag over the awkward customers head.

It really makes me sad that my shopping experiences are so dull. The most I have to deal with is the occasional grumpy shop assistant. Not once have I been wrestled to the ground by a security guard, verbally abused for having the 'wrong' bag or chased around a car park by crazed Waitrose staff. It is most disappointing.

Sea life was greatly suffering, turtles for example thinking plastic bags were jellyfish and dying. But hopefully things will change now in the reduction of these bags.
So they won't be dying because of English carrier bags then.

I think mine are even more dull, I've just been to M and S and they actually packed my very old Tesco branded jute bag for me. They didn't make a fuss at all, I was almost disappointed

Our local Asda has bin outside for unwanted carrier bags. It has a message on it saying to help yourself if you need a bag.

It's probably just me, but I would never ever use a carrier bag that some random stranger had used.
I'd rather pay 10p for my own brand new bag.

I went to Sainsburys today and used a Sports Direct bag.

Felt like an absolute boss walking out of there :)

So does mine, I'm often surprised at the bags in the recycling bin.

Oh LilElvis - could one ever look stylish when buying prosecco? ;)

I'm being MSE! One's food budget would be a tad stretched if I bought a case of Bolly every week :D

I'm going to order a large, personalised Longchamps Le Pliage tote to hide the prosecco in. :T
