Thanks for the welcome, everyone
We've had 2 EA's in this week to take pics, so our property is now online (woo-hoooo!!).
I've had 2 calls today for viewings, one is a BTL'er for tomorrow and the other is a FTB'er, moving up here from Plymouth, with an appointment for 2nd September (which I thought was ages away until I looked at the calendar and realised that it's next week!).
I'm hoping for more interest than this though - does it being a bank holiday weekend make it busier or quieter for interest in viewings?0 -

This is traditionally a very quiet time of year for house selling, many people are on holiday.,expect interest to pick up in next couple of weeks. Unless it's not necessary because one of those two have bought!
Though I'd expect the BTL one to make you a low offer at best, obviously it's all about money so the strategy will (or ought) to be to make low offers until one is accepted due to circumstances of the seller. A BTL won't have the time pressure to buy nor "fall in love" with somewhere as it won't be their home so they can afford to wait for the right seller.0 -
Well, after us waiting nearly 3 weeks for our buyers to find another buyer (bottom of chain dropped out), they have decided yesterday that they're not moving now, so we're back on the market... Thought we'd got it sorted, but obviously not!First win (October) - Apple Ipod off a radio competition
November - new nokia mobile phone, £250 electrical voucher (both radio comptitions)
March - 2 cinema tickets to see 27 dresses (radio again!)

Thank you Small well had a call this afternoon saying someone wanted to view at 4, so thankfully the house wasn't too bad after yesterdays massive clean, lol. Well he's been and gone and he said he's putting an offer in but I don't know, he just didn't seem very sincere and I don't think he was keen on lack of parking as he has 2 vehicles. Oh well now got to wait all weekend to be put out of our misery0

Fingers crossed, Raven.

That's really good to know, Joe - Thank you.
The BTL'er came today with his wife and little girl. They said that although they'll let it out eventually, they're actually going to live in it for a while as they're moving up from London (although how much of this is true, I don't know lol) and they really liked our home because it's ready to move into, clean, newly decorated etc. They made lots of positive comments and said that it was by far the nicest they'd seen of those that they'd viewed, so you never know... they might put in an offer (although I'm hopeful, I won't hold my breath, lol)
Out of interest, does the EA contact us with feedback, or do we contact them? How long do you usually leave it?AnotherJoe wrote: »This is traditionally a very quiet time of year for house selling, many people are on holiday.,expect interest to pick up in next couple of weeks.
