    Eh? I truly have no idea what point you're trying to make? No need to reply, I'm no longer bothering to keep up with this thread regularly :j

    Don't give up hope everyone. Our house went on the market and sold the next day. So it's not all bad out there. X

    we are in the process of buying a new build house but using the developers scheme with local estate agents. House been on the market for 6 weeks - had a few viewings but no offers yet. Builder yesterday offered to pay for flooring and stamp duty in return for us dropping the advertised price, and we have a rough 2 week deadline. EA seems confident that the lower price should get us a buyer - keeping everything crossed but I have a feeling it isn't going to happen

    the new house is ready in approx 4 weeks, so the builder isn't willing to keep it reserved for much longer than that
  • Oh well done Swishy, that's fantastic.

    Well we have been on the market officially since Tuesday, 3 viewings so far;
    1. Loved layout of house and garden but kitchen too small
    2. Loved downstairs and garden but upstairs too small (not sure what is expected from a stereotypical 1930's semi)
    3. Awaiting feedback but I have a feeling our house is smaller than the one they are selling.
    Is anyone else obsessing about selling day and night or is it just me?? I am so anxious about it all, it makes me feel sick!

    the sales lady made the mistake of telling me that they hadn't had anyone else interested in the plot, so that kind of works in our favour. If we don't sell the house, then there won't be another of the particular house type available for about a year - so we are getting incredibly desperate to sell
  • So today's update - EA called Saturday with a couple who wanted to come in the next hour to view the house. Manic tidy up got the dog ready to take out were just leaving the house when the couple arrived. Thank goodness we hadn't left completely as no sign of the EA. I showed the couple round myself EA turned up 20 mins later as we were kind of wrapping up. I left them to it and DH and I took the dog round the block. They stayed another 20 mins and EA took them in to our next door neighbours (old friend) so that they could see what would happen if they knocked the hallway into the lounge.

    Very positive noises so I've got my fingers crossed as they are not in a chain !!

    Always good when they let something slip! Ours just said they are a new site and don't need to give incentives. Bit of a pain!
  • Good luck everyone.x
