Yes, we have had FTB's looking at ours in the £350,000 range. A couple of those have been single. I was surprised.

We had a viewing at 9am this morning! We wake up early, but I am not a morning person. But we managed. Another this afternoon. If nothing come Monday / Tuesday we will be doing another price drop.

No viewings in almost four weeks. Might take a step back from the whole thing. I had feared that a buyer's survey might reveal something unpleasant. Never thought that I wouldn't even get a buyer. Eight week contract with EA ends on 15/4. :(

We've already hit pause on looking for a place to buy. We actually made offers on two houses, but were turned down both times due to not being under offer. A blessing in disguise.

We accepted an offer nearly three weeks ago and no sign of a survey of any other indicators of commitment. The buyer came back for another look yesterday. EA says that the buyer has requested a survey but it's the bank that are delaying. Is this likely to be true? Why would the bank be so slow? Thanks.

Not sure, thought they are normally arranged fairly quick, but guess it varies from lender to lender? We bought nearly 14 years ago and I can't remember now.

Did the buyers already have an AIP? Or did they need to start from scratch after their offer? If they hadn't even started the mortgage process I guess it would take a while. Or just a slow lender? Hope you hear something very soon.

We have a second viewing! Although we have had offers before this is our first second viewing. Feel a little nervous about it actually! But the house is what it is, not perfect..... I have been surprised how many viewers have offered on one viewing though.

    Hope your viewings went well

I have only had feedback from one of yesterday's 4 viewers so far. He said it's a good investment For someone but it's too small down stairs for him. Now surely he could see it on the photos/floorplans/ measurements so why bother coming to view.

I loved the house I viewed today but given our max offer is already under budget I was put off by the swarms of people viewing and we wouldn't stand a chance. But the road/area is a possibility if a cheaper one needing more work should come up.

My heart is still with the other house though...or I'm sure if at least try with the one above.

We've had an offer today. And a request for a second viewing. So things are looking up.

Apparently they already have their AIP. EA says he hopes to hear something from the bank on Monday/Tuesday, but he's said that before...

    Well done :T

Our viewing went spectacularly well - although I think it'll be too small for her. She has three sons living at home still. Her daughter was with her, but lives away.

I've no idea where they'll all go, and our only bathroom's small. She absolutely gushed about the place, loved the decor, the sizes of rooms, garden... thought she was gonna cry lol. She sat on the garden bench looking like she'd won the lottery.

Just not sure she'll offer. Ho hum. It has perked us up a bit though, even if she doesn't buy it. If it was just for her, she's snap it up. But I'm sure the 3 sons are still with her.

Was it a good offer? Fingers crossed for you, it sounds very promising. I'm starting to feel deflated after the initial excitement. I was hoping that I might get a reasonable offer from one of the 4 that came on Friday.

You never know, sometimes people can't afford a house that's big enough for them so you might just be surprised.

We have 4 children and we live in a 3 bed semi with one bathroom. I would say 90% of houses that come up in our budget are also three bed semi. I'm convinced that we will have to buy a house not much bigger than ours just to get the better location. If a 4 bed comes up it is usually too expensive or needs loads of work and still at the top end of our budget.

Well our second viewers yesterday were investors, they didn't spend much time here. Didn't get the feeling they would offer, but if they did I imagine it would be well below asking.

Like I said previously the other couple yesterday didn't seem quite decided on what they wanted, and were looking at loads by the sound of it . I told them to have a drive round the area, pointed out where there were nice shops etc. I've probably just encouraged them to by a tiny two bed terrace in the village next to us for more money :rotfl::rotfl:
