Toc25 are you friendly with them? If you are maybe very politely ask them to have a little tidy. My next doors yard was a right mess, it's attached to ours ( it's a terrace) we are very good friends so I just asked if while they were at work if I could de weed & tidy. They said they were sorry busy in work etc so I swept, tidied their bins & sorted weeds & it looks nice now. The other side have a big smelly dog that they don't clean up after very well but they are not approachable at all! 😕

    No offer :(

She said it's a bit far from the station (10 min walk!) and the road is a bit 'higgledypiggledy'???????? I literally have no idea. It's a crescent with very different styles of houses in. Each side of the crescent follows on from roads which are in straight lines from the main road at the far end. You literally go in a straight line from our house to the far end of the street where it joins the main road.

    Just bizarre.

Really sorry to hear that hazyjo. What random feedback though!

Frustrating and disappointing for you and not even useful feedback!! 10 mins walk is definitely not far. Wonder what she is looking for in a road then?!?

She is probably looking for a house at a price she is comfortable with in the present atmosphere of uncertainty, and is just too polite/embarrassed to say it is about price?

Okay so it might take me nearer 15 mins, but I'm slow lol. My BF easily does it in 10, as does most other people! And there are around 7 buses that go up the main road too so you can just jump on a bus if you can't be bothered to walk. There's nearly always one coming.

Ho hum. There's certainly nothing else in the area nearer the station anywhere near her budget.

    Disappointing...

Didn't get that impression. Cash buyer. Scared of leaving the area she's in - massive move for her. Got the impression she'll find something wrong with just about everywhere as she's not ready yet. Certainly don't think it's price - the market is 'extraordinary' and 'challenging' according to my EA this morning. They've not seen it like this for years. I could drop a hundred grand and still not sell - just not got the buyers at this point in time.

So it is not about price because taking a hundred grand off still won`t sell it? What is it about then?

Okay so I was being facetious. There is no way on this earth it will be dropped £100k as that puts it down to the level of 2 bed flats (of which there are only four or five up between mine and the station as it's still a bit cheap for the area).

People are cautious and there aren't many buyers around at the mo in my area.

It may or may not change soon. I'll hang on for a while. Don't care if it's worth £100k less in a year's time, so long as it drops where I'm looking too.

Nope they are the type of people that would take offence if I asked them to tidy their garden. To be fair I think I would take offence too lol.

That really sucks, maybe she should buy a tent and live at the train station! Sounds like she had no intention of buying it. What I don't get is that you don't need to view a house to work out how far away it is from stuff. So why do people waste people's time like that. Very strange. Onwards and upwards though, fingers crossed for next time.

My views exactly. The EA did say she thinks it was more that it was too small for her - not that the house is small, just that she's not getting what she wants in her budget. She was prob 50s with 3 boys still at home. The daughter was with her and she was very tall so I'm guessing they're not small boys lol. One small-ish bathroom, two doubles and single - it just doesn't really add up. She asked about doing the loft, so I'm guessing she just can't afford what she wants. Four+ bed houses considerably nearer to the station are between £750k-2m!
