Smallholding - I know! But estate agent now says they're still thinking about it as they've not seen anything they like nearly as much... will have to see.
We're still getting around a viewing a week, but things do seem to have slowed down a bit, I'm kind of glad I bargained the estate agent down from the 20 week single agent clause they wanted... although they seem good, at 12 weeks I may go with someone else as well, what are people's thoughts on that?
Good luck all :-)First win (October) - Apple Ipod off a radio competition
November - new nokia mobile phone, £250 electrical voucher (both radio comptitions)
March - 2 cinema tickets to see 27 dresses (radio again!)

Hello everyone! I'm putting my flat on the market this month and wondered if anyone had any tips. I am currently attacking the decluttering. Then getting a hand painting it. I'm a first time seller and planning on using house network.
There's just toddler plastic everywhere! Bit concerned as the market has gone so slow all of a sudden round here and as it's a flat the BTL investors have gone.
So any tips of what youd have done before putting it on the market would be appreciated xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

The market has completely frozen here in the Ribble Valley, NW England. No viewings on my parent's house since March, but nobody's house is selling. People really are waiting for 23rd June to see if prices will dip afterwards.
What makes you so certain the lack of buyer interest throughout the market is just down to people waiting for June 23rd?
Maybe it's indicative of a wider shift in sentiment that buyers simply aren't able or aren't prepared to meet the current level of vendors expectations and asking prices?0 -
I shoved a load of toys in the loft in bin bags. No one missed them.0

Haha I've already been told she wants them back. It's mad how different their room looks already. My hubby is in the forces on a 6 month deployment so I've had to wait for him to come home. In my head I was going to have it sold for when he came home so that he could come pick whatever house he wants.
Reality is it won't sell for a while and all the houses are way over priced so I'm going to look like a rubbish wife instead. !!!!!!. I thought waiting for summer would be perfect. What an idiot. XLoan 1 £5200/£8000

our estate agent called today saying someone had called in sick, and could i show the couple round this afternoon! Panicking a little bit as it is a huge responsibility......still not heard from the person who viewed the house on Monday (apparently she was very very keen?)0

Don't panic, welcome them in, let them go into rooms first. Answer their questions calmly. Good luck!0

waited 20 mins and no-one turned up. so I called the EA who put me on hold, apparently the viewer said it hadn't been confirmed? yet EA has it on their telephone system that they left a voicemail with all the details....to say I'm frustrated is an understatement
it has been rearranged for Monday afternoon....EA still hasn't managed to get in contact with the first lady that viewed, she said it was perfect but needed time to think and is now not responding to phone calls or voicemails.
feeling very downheartedTW have given us to June 20th to get a buyer in time for exchange etc on the new house...starting to think we won't end up with our new house
