A true story from my past... After two years on the market in an era of sluggish house sales many moons ago, up comes this one bloke who was splitting up from his wife.
He takes one look at the Second, square shaped reception room and says, ' yup, I'll have it. Just what I'm looking for to put my train layout in and leave it up. The wife wouldn't have it in my last place.'

So, you can't always predict what viewers will be looking for!
And you onLy need the one buyer.
    Flat... Need to sell
  • My house is a train enthusiast's dream.

Yes please to the garden Fudge.

Has anyone considered permanent house exchange?

One viewer booked for tonight, so fingers crossed for one of them!

Our house goes on the market tomorrow. It's just outside Aberdeen, so a challenging time for sellers just now with prices dropping at least 10% over the past two years. It's not clear if they have bottomed out yet, but some stability in the oil price should help. it's been a hell of a job getting it reasonably presentable too, but hopefully it will be worth it in the long run. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how many viewers we get. At least it's not one of the big five-bedroomed ones that are being sold left, right and centre due to people not being able to afford them any more, so I'm hoping that things won't be too slow.

Well after our buyer pulled out last Tuesday 3 days before exchange, our flat has been back on for almost a week at its original price. Zero interest. Gutted about all this. The house we are supposed to be buying is probably going to have to go up this week. Think they've waited long enough! :(
