Today we have put a house for sale that we were (un)lucky enough to inherit after my wonderful & sorely missed Step-mother passed away, Sept 2015. The photos were taken today, the For Sale sign should go up tomorrow and the information should be online tomorrow.

Looking at prices of similar houses it appears competitively priced for both sides. We are not looking to buy, so it's simply a question of fingers crossed and wait and see.

    Good luck wishes for everyone.

PS. House totally empty so just need to keep the dust down and the spiders out of sight!!!

Well, second viewing down, they've now completely changed their minds as there was a dog barking when they were here and they want a quiet garden...
Another new viewing tomorrow so we'll see what happens!
First win (October) - Apple Ipod off a radio competition
November - new nokia mobile phone, £250 electrical voucher (both radio comptitions)
March - 2 cinema tickets to see 27 dresses (radio again!)

I feel your pain. Buyers seem very picky just now. We've had several who've come for multiple viewings, brought numerous family members, then said they're not going to make a decision just now, for all manner of vague reasons :o

Best of luck for tomorrow :j

The market has completely frozen here in the Ribble Valley, NW England. No viewings on my parent's house since March, but nobody's house is selling. People really are waiting for 23rd June to see if prices will dip afterwards.

Wow, that is just being fussy! Fingers crossed for the next lot :)
  • We were fed up of living in a 'show home' and having to tidy endlessly (although in some of the houses we viewed, this didn't seem to be high up on the important list in their world - yuk!), the boot of the car and the garage (text to agent - say garage is locked!) became friends with boxes of stuff and particularly washing baskets! In the end we gave up and I was about to ring the EA when he called to say an offer had been made! I could hear the cupboard doors groaning with delight! We then spent 10 weeks trying to find a house we wanted to move to. We'd given up and I declared, whilst sitting outside what I said would be our final viewing that we would contact the EA and end the sale. We even decided that the house we were about to look at wasn't going to be for us, so were about to ring the EA acting for the property we were sat outside that we wanted to cancel and weren't interested when he pulled up in his car 15 minutes early. We decided it was too embarrassing to leave, so decided to grin and bear the viewing before going home and choosing a new kitchen and bathrooms for the home that was going to be ours for a few more years. Needless to say we bought the place, and all being well we move in 6 weeks! Hold the line!

we had a viewing (1st) on Monday afternoon. Fairly certain they came back in the evening to check the surrounding area. I spoke to the estate agent who said they really liked it but needed more time to think....

desperate for an answer! we need to get the house sold so we can proceed with purchase of the new one (new build that will be ready approx beginning of august)
  • Fudge I think if they want a house where dogs don't bark they had better have a LOT of money.
