  • Anna and Steph WELL DONE! Just ask your agent which variety of cash buyers, our last lot were cash buyers who needed a mortgage!

Fudge they said it was overlooked (details describe it as in the centre of the village) and they thought is was worth 30k less than asking.

Sod that, we won't move for that price.

Weird though, some people must have too little to do, she was here AGES.

    Well done Steph and Anna.
Good luck to the rest of you.
 Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.
  • Well done both!

It has gone very quiet here :(

We have a private company coming to see on Tuesday to make us an offer....I know its probably going to be very low but what have we got to lose? Last company offered 20k below asking price...

    Fingers still tightly crossed.

Probably more legal costs when the drop the price even further just before exchange.

Fully agree with all the comments about time wasters... all these people putting their properties on the market with deluded, kite flying asking prices and then whinging about lack of viewings or getting irate with 'low' offers.

Some people don't seem to have anything better to do with their time than stick their property on the market for an unrealistic asking price and then waste everyone's time refusing to accept fair and sensible offers which accurately reflect the true market value.
  • Natalie they do have a reputation for doing that so watch out!

    Fingers crossed for you :)

I have no idea what type of cash buyers ours are, I was too stunned to ask any questions and they've gone on holiday now. But they've already instructed solicitors and the EA has been onto me about mine.

I'm looking at houses this weekend.
  • Woohoo! Exciting times.

Small holding - weird, you wouldn't think they'd stay as long if they weren't interested!

Bonfire - I've heard about them dropping the price just prior to exchange as well, so be careful! Let us know what they say though :-)

Well done Steph, hope our all works out!

The couple that loved mine have been back over the weekend for a second viewing, they were discussing how to rearrange the house and who could have what bedroom, brought their son along as well who didn't say much, but sounding vaguely hopeful.
Here's hoping they make a (good) offer!
First win (October) - Apple Ipod off a radio competition
November - new nokia mobile phone, £250 electrical voucher (both radio comptitions)
March - 2 cinema tickets to see 27 dresses (radio again!)
