So we had our open house on Saturday, went well and had 5 lots of viewers. EA said that all the viewers had at least another 6 houses to see (one had another 9!), so at least the market is busy. EA also said that things are picking up locally, which we can see from looking on Rightmove. All looks and sounds promising. Feed back very positive from all the views, although no offer. Not everyone likes open plan living, but we know our house is unusual, particularly for the area, so expect a bit of a wait for the right buyer. The only negatives are things we can't change, open plan, the garden size (which is actually pretty good for the area at 50ft). Feeling overall positive.0

Our offer got accepted, so I will hopefully be off to the "waiting to exchange" board once things start moving.

Still nothing to report here, not even a single viewer. We reduced the price to 20K below valuation 3 weeks ago but this has had no impact.
We watched a couple drive up to the house the other night, sat there for a few minutes then went to the street opposite to presumable do the same to another house for sale there. I was almost going outside to try to drag them in!
Things remain pretty stagnent throughout the area but hoping it picks up as Spring approaches although the solicitor remains a little downbeat.0 -
