Hi everyone, just wanted to pop back with a positive post!

Our house was on the market back in September, we accepted an offer almost 5k under asking (but around what we expected to get in the first place) from a FTB in mid October and completed 8 weeks later. It was stressful at times and we weren't even waiting long.

I wish everyone on here a quick buyer, and a straightforward exchange and completion. Reading some of these stories before we officially went on the market prepared me for a wait and for stress. We were lucky but I thank you all for your posts, reading them kept me sane!
Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭

i've questioned it with the EA but not heard anything back.

It initially went on RM in september, had a price reduction in November and then removed in December. Went back up yesterday and I only found it by doing a draw search and it just has the price reduction date? As opposed to showing as only been added a few days ago.

kind of defeats one of the objectives of pulling it down :S
  • Another viewer last night making all the right noises, wanted to bring her fianc! with her on sat for a second viewing... but so far not booked :(

  • Fingers AND toes crossed Stephie!

hmd it sounds like a bog up.

A couple of places here have dropped their price today. However they were flying a bit of a kite even by my standards ( one is a 3 bed much smaller than ours (4 bed), though admittedly with a bigger garden on at 55k more than ours.)
  • So I have a looonnggg list of weekend jobs to do which I am soo looking forward to. Must text the builder.
Anyone else got jobs planned or are you all up together?

2 viewings on Saturday so that's two trips to the park with the little one.

Also 5 year wedding anniversary tomorrow so we've got my parents over to babysit so we can go out for dinner, will be nice to be out together as it doesn't happen very often!

No plans for Sunday though - probably trying to cook up some meals for next week.

    Good luck with your jobs!

    I'm joining the club.
House goes on market next Monday.
However we have already had one pre going on market viewing via estate agent. Someone on their books looking for a property like ours.
They are coming back for a second viewing Monday.
