We got an offer!!!! Accepted and have booked in to look at the house we liked on Thursday. Fingers crossed we could have our part of the chain established by the weekend.
Crazily it was from the couple that booked 20 minutes before viewing and in the dark!
Loopyloops - I do like the idea of an open day, get out the house in one go and hope someone likes it

one week on the market and nothing as yet. I know it is early days but its frustrating when a new build plot has come available and its perfect for us.
Had said to the EA last week that we would give it until March and then consider a price reduction. Our house is only 5 years old, and there is a few others on our street for sale (none that are the same type), but none are sellign0 -

House been on market for 2 days now.
2 pregoing on market viewings - people on agents books.
2 viewings Monday including a 2nd viewing.
2 viewings Tuesday (today) and ....
We now have first offer.
It's 10k under our asking price , but we will say offer asking price and we will take off market or we will wait for a few more viewings to take place. We were told to expect a high level of interest in property by agent due to rarity of type of house in our area and demand from families wanting to move into area. I thought it was agent blah blah ...but it seems to be correct based on last few days.

Went on market Monday , 6 viewings and got full asking price.
Job done.
Agent asked for a cheeky price and the buyers paid it.
Buyers want a quick move.
They have sold to someone who currently rents.0
