    Hi everyone
So sorry I haven't been about for a couple of days. It's been really busy. I'm trying to juggle the usual stuff (work and home) along with some less usual stuff (exam season and dh's broken ankle) as well as trying to find time for myself. It means sacrificing something every day - it's been being on here, and also my beloved crochet.
I made a promise I was going to get on here and catch up tonight, then one of our neighbours knocked to tell us that they'd seen one of our cats get hit by a car earlier. So I've spent an hour or so fretting about her. She seems ok within herself - eating, moving ok, but she has the scuffed claws. It's too late for normal vet now, but I am struggling with the guilt of whether to take her to out of hours. It's a minimum of £120 though, which would be well wasted if she's ok. And she really seems ok. I'm crossing fingers and fussing over her...
So, what has made me happy today? Getting on well with dh.
Frugal thing? Big order from Approved Food
Kindness? Looking after dh while he's so helpless
That will have to do for now - I'm off to fuss over my black cat again.

CCL hope your cat is OK.

Major mistake at work today. But luckily my customer was understanding after we analysed what happened and how it can be rectified. So not all lost.

Kind neighbour gave me a big bag of rhubarb, chopped it for the freezer and will take the rest to work for any takers.

Sorry to hear that Cat. I think you know your own animal well enough to see if its badly injured or not. And your instinct was right about DH needing a 2nd opinion so trust yourself.

  • Hi all, sorry I've fallen off the nsd wagon for a over a week. It's been a mixture of being super busy and feeling so-so. I had moments of high highs and pretty low lows. Money wise we haven't completely gone astray. I have not managed to keep track of nsd's we've made so far and I have been a bit lax with monitoring the incomes and outgoes recently but on the positive side, we still have a healthy amount left in the food budget til the end of the month and the fridge and freezer are still well stocked. We don't really need to buy a lot til month end except for perishables like fruits milk and bread. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I would be able to throw whatever leftover we'll have from the food budget into the emergency fund which remained untouched this month.

I will try and catch up on your posts since I went MIA. But for now just want to say hi, I'm still here and have a good night's slumber
