Morning all,
Sorry, I’ve been absent on the this thread however the challenge hasn’t left me!
Today will be my 3rd NSD in a row! Tomorrow is payday, so I’ll pay off some debts then – needs must.
The other half has been a gem lately so I’m going to make her a nice dinner one night this week to show my appreciation. I’ll look around for a cheap recipe that doesn’t need many ingredients.0 -
Good morning, not looking fwd to payday at all now. 20-30 less is a lot. That's one of my insurance bills or the gym
.
Sold an item on ebay last night for 99p plus 2.80 postage, but had to cancel. I had it on as selling to the EU too but the buyer was Spanish and the cheapest postage option was £10 even with Hermes .
Bl**dy cold weather. Bin was frozen shut this morning and there is snow in the hills. My veg seedlings had frozen water droplets hanging on them this morning. Will see if I can fashion them a wee tent with cellophane tonight. Plus the heating is still on
Ate a frog last night though and managed to sort and file the paper that accumulates in the top drawer of the desk. Keep putting it off for months and it only actually took me 20 min :rotfl:
Healthy lunch and tofu smoothie for extra protein (bought the wrong stuff again, the silken one instead of the firm one). Maybe a run or a Spin today.
Have done an online order for Tescimo for Friday to avoid the impulsive Friday-after-work-lets-get-a-drink-and-rubbish-food-dash to the shop. Also bought some proper tofu and gram flour to try and make my own tofu. Stocked up on some dry pulses and other bits to start making more soup again that is high in protein etc. Although next time (if I like them) i'll get them from our Halal shop as they are a lot cheaper but I rarely get there.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
CCL - hope your feeling better.
Clippy- girl safe journey home and awesome DFD.
Given myself a strict talking to this morning. There will be no more balance transfers being done no matter what. I may have to pay a tiny bit of interest this month but maybe it will knock some sense into me to stop spending money. Determined to be DF this year.
I can't make any more PAD's until next week so just wishing my life away till then.
Had to loose another SFD today sawdust needed and bunny food for the cutest funniest bunny ever. He picked up his bowl and launched it at me this morning - as it's so cold eating a lot more.
So cold here out of the sun, try and take gs out for a little bit to the park after work, if the hail keeps off. Abandoned walk yesterday hail and thunderstorm scurried home.
SpekySquarehead wow sound the perfect other half. Is it the chef off Lorraine programme which now has a receipe book out with just 5 ingredients in each dish - my type of cooking.
Emotional day yesterday, watching the families finally getting justice for the 96. So tearful watching the news, unbelievable and disgraceful taken so long. Happy for the families . Thoughts go to those that survived and are deeply affected by that day, hope they find some comfort in this verdict.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
We had a man in at school just before Easter who was at Hillsborough. He was from Liverpool, and runs his own company inspiring teenagers, but I broke my heart when he talked about Hillsborough. Watching it on the news last night just made me grateful that it's not like that any more. DH and ds are always off to football, and have been to Wembley and all sorts. I'm pleased that justice has finally been done.
In other news, I'm still poorly. It is still only a cold but I'm completely wiped out. Just checking in on here then heading off to bed for an early night. Tomorrow will have to be a nsd as I don't have a penny to my name at the moment. And I've had to admit defeat and put the heating back on for a bit - it has snowed for most of the day though...Not giving up

2 bags to the Sally Army, and another nsd.
CCL, I was studying in Sheffield at that time and remember the day - the sheer emptiness of the streets, lack of traffic and people moving around and the constant background noise of sirens. It is a relief that finally a decision has been reached and like calling, I hope people can find some comfort in it. I can't watch any programmes about it even now.
Today I am grateful for birdsong, for cuddles with dd, for less anxiety at work, for cheerful pupils, for discovering a thin strip of post-its that I love using.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I've lost a SFD as my petrol gauge just seemed to plummet today and I couldn't get home without more petrol. It means that I can only make it to 19 SFDs maximum but at least I haven't been spending too much, it's all in my budgets.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Sorry for mot posting yesterday. Today I am feeling brighter and better - may be the cumulative effect of trying to eat properly, go to bed early (ish) and cut laptop time.
Have done quite a lot of work today and some little fun bits. Moved a small filing cabinet after I had cleaned it, sorted some finished pieces of work into it. It's replacing a chair as my bedside table.
Being frugal - finished everyone's leftovers (not very healthy), found packs of wraps reduced to 10p so now have next months lunches sorted (nothing to put on them yet, taken bits from the freezer for today and tomorrow (including a mackerel to make mackerel pate).
Joyful - lots of sewing and reading and scattered 9 packs of flower seeds in the bits of the back that have soil.
Today I am grateful for my little house even if others choose to make fun of it (I had bought it by the time I was their age, they are all still semi dependent on their parents and one of them is in a rented flat - so going on about the amount of 'diy' this needs is a little out of order), for sunshine and no snow, for my lovely new quilt and pillows. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Checking back in - I am still feeling the same, not ill just normal although I am staying in bed until about 6.45am.
Sunday was a NSD.
Monday was a spend day as needed toilet roll.
Tues was a NSD.
Today was a spend day as ran out of milk so have stocked up for a few weeks - also grabbed some vegetables to make a veg curry tomorrow for my fast day evening meal.
Also took DD to Osteopath as she has had problems with her knees since she injured herself on a trampoline when she was 8. He has worked her muscles and also given us some exercises but thinks we should get the GP to refer to NHS physio and they might then do an MRI scan to check the damage.
Tomorrow will be a NSD but will miss target unfortunately.
Friday might be a spend day as their is bingo at the community centre although DH is poorly again and just sleeping so we might not make it out anywhere.0 -
Morning all
I'm back! Lost my internet and ended up having to wait for a new hub to be delivered so need to keep an eye on the mobile bills to make sure that if any of us have gone over our data limits we don't get charged as it's all with the same company. I'll catch up properly tonight as I've completely missed 1 week of challenges.
We've had more snow overnight so I am hoping the roads are ok when I am driving to work.
Have a good day all
