DH friend texted to see if we want to take our kids to the fair after work. Don't really want to go. Got dinner ready at home, everything is muddy and cold plus we will probably be buying rubbish food for the kids. Never mind the tantrums (DS, 5yo, probably just wants to sit on the motorbike on the merry-go-round 5 times, whereas DD, 2yo, want to go on everything and isn't allowed on anything). HHmmm...lets hope it rains again
.
Also DH tries to send me to the pub tonight (as a treat as i had to field the kids a lot lately) to catch up with the girls who are out but I can't be bothered. Getting old and stingy: too noisy, too expensive and then a cab home, nah. Rather snuggle up on the couch with a Tescimo brand cider and a movieDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Is it this week that we don't go on the naughty step or was it last?
I didn't go to the doctor's (will wait until after the final 2 hour test). Fitting everything in rather depended on me being up early enough to walk to the doctor's before they were open to get a good place in the queue. Seeing as I didn't manage that, it would have made everything too stressful for the rest of the day. So mostly skiving today.
Caught the bus at 10.30 am to get to my talk and took two wraps, two bottles of tap water and books to read. Wish I'd taken my gloves - only put them away for the second time last weekend. Signs of snow and it hailed whilst I was on the bus. Ate the first wrap at the bus station (had 2 bananas first thing) then made my way through 2 shopping centres and under the scaffolding around the Town Hall to avoid the worst of the weather.
Had time for a quick look round the museum before the talk as they were still setting up the room. Very interesting and have paid for next month's talk on Viking mythology as I might have Viking ancestry - discovered this morning on going through some paperwork that was in with some very old photos I rescued from the hovel (and mum's partner's children).
Thought about getting straight back on the bus for home (stop facing the museum) but as the sun had come out I considered going to the little park next to the Parish Church to eat my wrap. However it was still very cold (and the benches would have been wet) so I went round the corner to a little cafe I know for a hot dinner.
To be fair it is 9 years since I have been in that cafe, so not an habitual thing but I didn't pick the healthy option and I had 2 cans of diet coke with caffeine in. The cafe has had a spruce up (swear they still had formica topped tables and counter in either red or yellow last time) but still producing simple options well. walked the 2 and a 1/2 blocks to the SM for bargains and it's one of the branches they have closed.
Between the bus fare, paying for today's and next month's talk and the food, I've more or less used up all my budgets but I was hoping to come in under budget this month.
Ate the other wrap and water when I got home and have been out to film club (excellent film) since.
DS3 told me DS2 had been and 'ransacked' my room. He had an appointment to get a passport, needed my passport details and since I had had the temerity to leave the house without telling them my plans six weeks in advance, they had to search for my passport. Didn't notice any difference, if anything it was slightly tidier.
So a very enjoyable day although I did find myself unexpectedly near to tears once or twice. To finish the day an old lady at film club just asked how my mother was. She had been talking to the caretaker so I didn't realise she was talking to me at first. Typical of this town. When I moved to the (now sold) new house it took one of my neighbours six questions to establish who my family was and which members she knew. Her husband is buried next to the wife of my aunt's partner - confused me at first as my aunt's partner has the same name as her son, I thought my cousin's wife was dead.
Today I am grateful for a journey full of memories (mostly happy), for bull rushes, for little bits of history dotted about, for interesting and knowledgeable people and a brilliant film. Also managed to fit a fair bit of reading in.
Thank you so much for this month's challenge calling. Think I have lost my way a little but determined to get back on track. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Mothernerd this week the naughty step is fully operational and claiming first victim meeee.
Holding my head in shame went to try shoes on think same as Polly's but as I have high instep think they would cut into me at the front. However tried some others on and fell in love with them, sandals but with toes covered up. Most people get black ones but cream ones looked fab with my jeggings Needless to say dearer will dust naughty step whilst on it and work out recovery plan.
Went and bought fence paint. Managed to get one panel done but getting cold about 7pm. Hope to get few more done tomorrow weather permittingLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Didn't manage to post last night as I fell asleep on the sofa ridiculously early again. Think I will ask to get to get my iron levels checked again when I'm at the doctor's on Thursday as I constantly feel tired and no energy at the moment.
Yesterday was a NSD and today should be one as well which will take me up to 14 NSDs for this month, not my best monthbut shall aim for more next month.

Morning all
Thanks for the challenge calling, been a bit fragmented for me with my holiday but pleased with my payments
So nurse didn't know what issue on my stomach was, she said it looked like shingles but as its not tingling and I feel fine has ruled it out. She took a swab to see if I needed antibiotics so will have to wait for that. In the meantime I am wearing gauze over it as its in a crease on my stomach so this helps to stop the skin touching. In the evenings I am lying flat and uncovering it to dry it out. Looks a bit crusty today so hopefully will see an improvement soon! However realistically I don't think the gym is an option as will not help with drying it out and it hurts to bend over or stretch out!
So lazy day today at home. Going to stick some guest bedding on and then hang on washing line. Will finish it off on the heated airer. Then will wash my bedding which will need to be tumbled as I only have one set.
Also batch cooking Jamie's yellow curry and some l&p soup today.
Other than that I'm going to finish putting everything away in my bedroom.
May reread my kondo book as well and start on that (have only done clothes).
Think I will deep clean kitchen as well!
Have a good day turtles:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
