    Misstara - awesome debt busting!

Today I am grateful for sunshine, my + dd's prescriptions being in, leftover food meaning an easy tea, feeling more on top of things at work, balm tissues for dd's nose.

Am doing my 'treat' tomorrow, but it is waaaaay more than we were allocated -oops! I'm taking a friend for a swedish back massage to say thankyou for having dd so much for me, especially back in the autumn. And it would simply be rude to send her alone, so I'm having one too :D.

    Hello everyone one,

Well done to Dizzy blnd and Aplle muncher on all those NSDs! Amazing work!
I've eaten a massive frog today- I went for an eYe test that I have been putting off for ages and I now have an answer to all those headaches and straining to see: my eyes have indeed got worse and so I need a stronger prescription and therefore I have had to spend out for new glasses! However, having a stash of money helps to lessen the impact on my current account.
Yesterday I had the car cleaned in and out as I know I wouldn't have had Time and it's made a massive difference cos it no longer stinks of a snooker club in 1993.
Took an overtime shift at work on Tuesday and hoping for some more next week.
Today I'm thankful for the lovely sunshine, clean bedding and a fab parents evening result for my DD

    Evening all,

clippy hope you get the rash sorted

apple good, you deserve it (plus it makes me feel less guilty for the facial I'm having on Saturday!)

SFD number 18 today :j and I'm in bed already. Not sure why I'm so tired this week but I'm listening to my body for a change.

Started the monthly shopping list today and need some new recipe ideas for batch cooking, any suggestions?

Not going to make the NSD target as I spent money to get to an appointment (not sure if it is a side effect of starting to take the hay fever medicine but I keep going dizzy - not wildly so but didn't want to walk even though it wasn't all that far). Had a good local history discussion, swapped seeds and ideas for 'mood enhancing' websites - ie mind gym and mood space.

Utilising all my 'cheer up' remedies today - nice clothes, bangles and a necklace, thick fluffy (starting to felt) thick wrap around cardi and fresh ginger scent. Came home tired but resisted going for a nap as I want to sleep well and wake early.

Tomorrow will be spendy (and a little hectic) as I am due to return to the doctor's (not sure as one of the tests can't be done till next Wednesday), need to be 8 miles away for a talk at lunch time and then have film club in the evening. May squeeze a visit to mum's in but not sure. Mutliple bus trips make me tired these days and I could try for meat bargains (not had any for months) if I hang around after the talk (SM is just across from the bus station and the right bus will drop me off at the top of my street rather than across the square and car park).

Was thinking of going out for more snacks/ drinks to carry around but as I will have to buy a bus ticket tomorrow, I still don't get a SFD.

Need to tot up my sleep figures but my working hours figures have had a boost - just need to work on the house work and the getting stuff in order (and exercise). Back to the drawing board.

    Today I am grateful for
my developing friendship and growing interest in local history
easy food (fridge, freezer and leftovers)
free seeds - already scattered more flowers in the backs
the internet - have been playing some old music then followed some links to some interesting and funny talks, followed by a film (only watched a bit because my internet cut out.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

  • Evening all, back massages and paydays, ginger scent and 4am nappy changes...lots going on. I finished an intensive four day hands on training for my new venture. Exciting and exhausting. Bought new shoes. Oh ...that old problem? But badly needed and half price patent navy from Clark's for £27 or so. I am pleased, in budget and needed. Bought fuel on the way home and a scratch card. Won £40. Oh yes. Exhausted, sleep now. End of month check in approaching for me and so far those debts have been shaved a bit. Gnight all.

Wow, loads of debt busting, NSDs etc going on. Well done guys, the end is in sight.

clippy girl I hope that rash goes away soon. Is it shingles or sth?

Got paid today and only £15 less I guess because they raised the tax threshold?

Glad I covered my veg patch the day before yesterday as it snowed heavily last night. Looks like it will get a bit warmer now though, no more 0C at night. I want to turn the heating off or down.

Not much else to repost. Dinner is in the slow cooker and will pick up a Tescimo order tonight (only stuff we buy there anyway and was on offer). All my fresh meat, veg and fruit I will get form Aldee or Lidldiddle on Sunday.

congrats on the win Polly! :)

so finances done, much better shape than I had expected :j

Have put £600 in my savings account to pay electrician, buy chalk paint and wax for dining room furniture and to buy a new stairs carpet (£200 inc fitting). Need to query electrcian bill as was told on phone it would be £290 which is what i agreed but now bill has come and vat has been added on so an extra £58

have just rang up and paid argos card off in full and closed the account :j:T:A

Have also paid £275.56 off my credit card :j

Al budgets redone until payday on 19th and everything is accounted for!

For May I should be able to make a £200 payment to the card in addition to the £250 into the regular saver towards the card. If I get any more airbnb bookings they can go straight to the card.

New debt free date will be end of August now based on airbnb bookings I currently have. If I get another 15 nights booked between now and end of July then I can be debt free by end of July. fingers crossed they fix the bugs!
