What hotfix(es) did you install when you downloaded them manually? Did SP1 download and install correctly?

I'm not too sure, i'm a bit confused, i am just downloading SP1 now and i'm going to try that, thanks

I have just downloaded SP1 and it says burn to disk?

Does this mean it is a clean install of windows 7 and i will lose everything on my laptop?

I don't want to re install windows 7

    Thanks

Seriously, is there a good reason why you cannot try Windows10? (e.g. you have programs that will only run on 7)

I've done a couple of W7 installs over the last week, both installs had updates that took over 6 hours, just leave it running m8 !

I did a Windows 7 fresh install last week, took about three days to finally download and install all the updates. I did try the fixes in post 8 but found they did not work, so I did yet another fresh install and then three days later all was done.

Hi, was this for searching for updates? It won't even do that, this is what is happening?

    Thanks

You need to do a fresh install, and just wait.
