I feel like if have to do the one to one with my manager then I will lose it and quit though so trying to avoid that.

If it's anything like our back-to-work meetings if you've been off sick at least you could have great fun with the "Did work in any way contribute to your illness?" and "Is there anything the company can do to prevent this happening in future?" questions :D

Still plodding on. Need to go back to the dr's as I still have issues getting up in the morning. its just not being lazy. I just seem to go back to sleep and I feel I have slept properly at night. I just rarely seem to get anything done. Some days I get loads done and other nothing and there seem to be more nothing days.

I don't think I am depressed. I might be a bit anxious about action man moving in on the 1st April.

Hopefully they can find out what's causing the tiredness. If not do you find that if you try to pace yourself a bit more, giving yourself proper rest time each day, you get more done? I tend to go through the cycle of do loads, burn out, fail to do anything a lot but am actually much more productive when I have the sense to work through things bit-by-bit rather than tackling it all in one go.

It's also entirely normal to worry about AM moving in, even without the stress of making sure his place is sorted. Even though I'd been pretty much living with IzHe for about 18 months it still scared the hell out of me when we moved in together properly.

My appointment people have not turned up (25 min late) nor have they cancelled.

code, could you sew wine-coloured sparklies/sequins onto your dyed dress. That could look really nice, although I am probably not the best dispenser of fashion advice.

I need to think of something happy....a lazy Sat night as DH is at work and littlewing has birthday parties to go to.

ER is in hospital - probably about to be sectioned again. Care home say they can't cope and don't want him back - so much for specialist EMI units.
One of ERs children has just been admitted on a S2. Probably triggered by drug use. Sadly, if it's not possible to stop people taking drugs in a MH secure unit, there's no chance when he's at home. Can't see this ending well. :(

Oh no, elsien! That sounds like an awful situation to be in.

ww - you're full of great ideas but I think sparkles would be overkill for a day dress. It's kind of growing on me which is odd - I never wear pink!

Trying to decide on a hotel for DH's birthday. We like to go to very posh hotels for our birthdays. I am considering this one which is ridiculously expensive (I save up all year). What do you guys think? Maybe a bit too OTT?

  • Code, all of those suites at that hotel look fabulous! Expensive and very OTT yes, but for a special occasion then definitely.

I went to see La la land today. I mainly went out of curiosity and wasn't sure if I was going to like it ("Frozen" aside, musicals aren't really my cup of tea, I'm more a sci fi or subtitled obscure foreign films sort of person). Despite being very impressed by the single take openeing sequence (and there are quite a lot of very long takes thoughout the film for the musical / dancing sequences), it wasn't until about 20-30 minutes in that it really had me captivated. It's funny and sad and happy and bittersweet and in the end I loved it, much to my surprise. And I might go and see it again at the cinema.

I think it is a gorgeous hotel, code. I would love to go there.

I am surrounded by pink sparkly things! I shall have to tell littlewing that they are for daytime only on little girls.

Absoutely not! Pink sparkles are for any time of day if you're as fabulous as littlewing.

I need to check that someone can take DA dog before I book.

(((( Elsien )))) That all sounds very rubbish and horrible to deal with and I hope it turns out better than you fear.

Code, that hotel looks amazing. It's very OTT but perfect for a special occasion and all of the rooms look fabulous.

Penguin reply about La La Land - spoilers I'm kind of the opposite way round, I went in thinking that I would love it and ended up with a very 'meh' feeling when it finished.

I really enjoyed parts of it but it seemed like there was a lot of build up which didn't really go anywhere and then the ending just seemed tacked on. I have no problem with the fact that they didn't end up together so I don't think that was what left me feeling flat, I just felt very "Oh, is that it?" when it finished.
