My grandmother used to take a flask of hot water to bed at night and make her own drink in the morning. Is that an option for your mum?

Or some kind of teasmade thing? Whatever they call them these days.

I went on a long bus ride to Merry Hill.

There were a collection of scutters drinking and smoking iat the back of a single decker bus. Cannabis and tobacco.

My nose is so sensitive, I could even tell they were using matches not a lighter.

I got off wheezing and needed my ventolin.

I woke up today and it turns out I've got a cold. Honking, dry cough, snot and headache.

And it's my TOTM too. Yay.
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Why did the driver not kick them off?

Have some chocolate and a hot water bottle and I hope you feel better soon.

Am 'working' from home today.....Only the remote connection has been down since 10.30 so I've got nothing done. Can't even get email which is v annoying, not least because I have a v scary work thing next week and need to know if there have been any updates (or cancellations, fingers crossed).

On the plus side I've cleaned the house and updated my phone....just not sure how to log my time for that!

The drivers are penalised for late buses and they are too infrequent to just get off and wait for another one.

This is the first 'proper' cold I've had in years. A side effect of night shifts is that you meet fewer people and have less ezposure to germs.

I've got Friday, the weekend and Monday off work, so hopefully I won't feel so rough on Tuesday.

I have a few things to do on Monday so I'll take it easy and try to pamper myself.

I haven't got dressed today. I'm wiped out.

Do you have one of those systems where you log everything you do? We were initially expected to log 85% of our time, but those that commission our work would like it to be 100%. I'd love to see them accounting for every single minute of their work day. Not quite worked out what a loo break counts as as yet - preparation for meetings?

I did some unplanned flexitime in order to debounce Gitdog. Far preferable to cleaning. :D

Yep, we log everything, in 15 min blocks. Makes sense for the people doing chargeable work but all of mine is an internal overhead, so doesn't go against a project. There's always a lot of creative accounting!

I've spent 2 days shambling round the flat. Most of it spent in bed.

Sinus headache and caffeine withdrawal together are not funny. I'm only able to switch the lights on for the past half hour.

I've changed my dressing gown. The only momentous decision I've made in 48 hours.

I need a few things from the shops. I might venture out later....

I am still aching from a new exercise class that I tried on Friday night. I am still so unfit compared to people who have been doing sport all their lives. It included skipping at the start, which we made a total hash up of, having not skipped for three decades at least. I enjoyed it though so we (me and my friend) will be going again.

I was at work all day yesterday but had a quiet evening as littlewing was at birthday parties (2 in one day) and DH was at work.

All I have done so far today has been to put some washing in and half unpack the dishwasher. I'd really like a duvet day but I have my friend and his dad coming round later to help me with some financial stuff.

Ive got up. That is the sum total of my movement so far today. Gitdog has yet to stir so I have the very rare occurrence of being able to read the paper without being "talked" at.
