Oh Ginger massive (((hugs))).
I can understand why you might think like that. It makes sense.
I thought one of my neighbours might have dobbed me in about my car. But husband chatted to someone else saying there had been a blitz on the local town as it seems a lot of other people got caught as well.

(((ginger))) You have to ask yourself whether her grudge against you is big enough to potentially risk her job. Is it possible that it was just a system error because it does seem quite fast to reject an application. Definitely look into it though. In the meantime, you can join me in the job disappointment corner of the fort.
I am still feeling really low about the job situation. It's like I thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel but it was just a reflection. Haven't heard back from HR. Did chat with one of my ex-colleagues who made me think a bit. She asked if it was because the job is only being advertised internally and so they can't interview me for it, but I would be able to apply if I went back. I'm not sure I want to take a chance on a 'well maybe if you do this' you'll be able to do this. I don't even know if I can be bothered going to the interview. I have been cuddling DA dog - on days like this I am so glad DA dog is the cuddliest mutt in the world.
I did go and buy a Muppet of Mr CP so Muppet codemonkey won't be all be herself, figured while I still have some money :rotfl:Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Someone please tell me why I am looking at tough mudder type events.
I am 44 year old female, long term back pain suffer and about 5st over weight and as flexible as a floor board
Thinks its about proving that I can do something like that. I know action man was on about doing something like that. Found a local one for march LOL!!!!!
Messaged action man the details :rotfl:
Decided I need get a fenced in veg garden so that action collie does not get in to it and mess it up and use it as a toilet. Found a nice one on this website. Exactly what I want. But sadly Action man has no DIY skills and neither do I

Calley - that's when you find a local handyman. I hire one for any jobs I don't want to do and it really doesn't cost much. And you can feel good that you're helping a local business. DA dog is the stealthy plant murderer. We used to have so many plants in the garden but one by one, he's destroyed most of them. You can see when he chooses the next victim then he just sits on it til it's dead.
Sometimes I look at fitness events and think I could do them. Then I remember that I like napping and pringles* way more than exercise.

Hugs GN, that's a shame about the job. re your penguin, I don't know what the employment culture and work ethic is like in the public sector, but from what I know of working in the private sector, I'm pretty sure that an HR person doing something like you suggest would be out on their ear, it would be an immediate sacking offence, not a warning. If so, would she really risk being fired?Decided I need get a fenced in veg garden so that action collie does not get in to it and mess it up and use it as a toilet. Found a nice one on this website. or have disasters like the time I drilled through the cable I'd just installed in a channel and plastered over, (even though I knew exactly where it was, I forgot it was there) but after five minutes of going "arrrrrgh! why did I do that???" I start again and generally get there in the end.
I'd suggest just deciding what you want (what's on the website looks good), getting the bits needed then doing it. The most important things you'll need are patience and persistence, rather than being a dab hand with a screwdriver.
The pair of sheds I ordered that I was expecting on Tuesday turned up this morning at 8am, the delivery driver rining my doorbell woke me up . He was pretty much done unloading by the time I'd managed to get some clothes on. I might have a go at assembling them later, but it was -4C and thick fog earlier. The fog has lifted and the sun is out, but it's still below zero, bitter out with a hard frost here at the moment, so staying inside and drinking tea looks a better option :rotfl:.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
The limited DIY skills I have I have taught myself.
Action man has never even painted a wall. So that will be fun as we need to to paint his house for when he leaves to get his deposit back. Reminds me need to check that the landlord has a protected his deposit properly.
My dad nor a male friend would lend me a drill so you can see how much they trust me to do stuff :rotfl:
Ono, I agree that it is a lovely looking enclosed garden. Not sure mine will look like that. I do have a one advantage is that it will be going up against a fence for the back wall so only three sides to do:T
But before we can do that need to get a new shed.
Anyway jumping the gun got to get Action man moved in first which is a few months away yet.

JOB PENGUINIf the HR manager has taken it upon herself to reject candidates before the hiring manager does the shortlisting, the hiring manager will never know unless told. (Possibly by me, on Monday morning.)
If that's what's happened, then I may become a fly in someone's ointment.
If that didn’t happen and I was rejected for some other reason, then I'm happy to be told what the problem was. I don't want to keep wasting my time applying for a job, when my application is going to keep being rejected.
I have gone over the job description and person specification with a fine tooth comb and truly believe that I meet the essential criteria. My qualifications and job experience matches most, if not all the highly desirable requirements.
I applied and was interviewed for the same role before but, as I said, it was sabotaged. Since then, the role has been advertised a number of times with "Previous applicants need not apply", meaning my application was automatically rejected. I tried once and took the hint.
This time, there was no such warning, so I applied.
The jobs.nhs site can be set to close the job vacancy by a certain date and/or after a certain number of applications, so the excuse that the candidate numbers were so high they had to be whittled down is a poor one.
Internal applicants who are favoured by managers can be given a heads up about internal vacancies which will be opened only for about 48 hours to allow the application to get through.
The lady who hired me permanently for the job I've just left, bypassed HR by ensuring there were only two applicants and the interview was held in an office away from HR who have control of a suite of seminar rooms and study areas.
Clearly, I'm not the only one who thibks there's a problem.END OF JOB PENGUIN:huh: Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -

Don't know if you saw it last night, but Marco Fu was playing extremely well and hit a couple of shots that had an almost O'Sullivan-esque "how did he do THAT with the cue ball???" air about them. If he carries on playing that way I'd say he's a good bet to be champion this year.

Code, I think you have to brace yourself and remember that (normally) an interview is as much a chance to see whether YOU like THEM as it is to see if they like you. I think you should go for the interview and make it clear that what you are actually interested in is the senior post. Stress to them what you have been told in the past, and that your reason for wanting to return is in order to do that job, and ask what your chances are. You can go as far down that line as you like - if your option is not to go to the interview, you are in a position to be quite demanding, and say you would not accept the old job back, just the new one, but you are prepared to work for x time at your old level in order to ensure you are up to speed with current issues.
I bet they would really respect you for saying that!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
