I am clumsy. Had a bowl of cereal early but it was a in a big glass pyrex bowl. I knocked it over an it smashed :(

Least it was like a windscreen on a car. Hoovered up but will do so again in the morning when I can see better.

I am watching something on netflix called helix. its a bit gory and scary but they keep using up beat pop music at serious moments.

  • Hey guys.

Bad news. I logged onto the NHS jobs website and saw my application for the job I really, really wanted was unsuccessful.

Odd thing - the site hasn't sent me an email to tell me to log in to read the message AS I HAVE REQUESTED.

If there are any notifications about any job applications, jobs.nhs sends the job applicants an email to tell them to log in and read the messages on the secure website. This hasn't happened.

I was rejected without any notification. Strange.

PARANOIA PENGUINThe former boss we, her former slaves, still call B!tchface has a mother who works in the hospital's HR Department.

She gave her daughter the heads up about my application to this same department back while I was still working in B!tchfaces's department and the pair of them sabotaged my application back then in 2013.

She still works in HR even though her daughter has moved on.

Is it paranoid to think she might have had a hand in this weirdly unsuccessful job application?
    END OF PENGUIN

All I can do now is email the managers of the department I want to work in and ask for feedback. That can only happen on Monday morning.

Until then I have housework to do, shopping to get in and other errands to run.

I'll send a screenshot of the unsuccessful notification to one of the managers listed on the advert and see if I can get some feedback. I'll see what happens then. :([/QUOTE

    Penguin reply

It does happen i wrote via solicitor to director of H.R. letter was received but she never replied solicitor said you cannot force them to reply. I ended up signing a "clause" and was paid off!

Thanks. I don't want to accuse anyone right off the bat.

I want to send an email to the hiring manager stating something like "I am disappointed to note....etc. etc... and I appreciate that they are busy and I would any appreciate feedback".

If they've rejected me for some good reason, then fine. If they've never heard of me, then I will have to query why.
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Asking for feedback seems like the way forward ginger. It also makes you look very professional and keen.

I am still so stressed about the work situation, but I think you're right JM. There are pros and cons to both options. Seems like a strange thing to be worrying about - two companies wanting me sounds like a good situation. I just can't trust myself to make the right decision anymore. My anxiety is high, and I can feel it in my back and shoulders.

How is it Monday again?? I'm so tired.... this is going to be a long day. Had a wild (for me :D) night out on Saturday with v little sleep and waaaay too much beer. Actually felt ok yesterday (amazingly) but definitely missing the sleep. Would have had a really early night last night to make up for it but wanted to watch the snooker.

If someone could tell me a way to get my backside out of the chair and up to bed at a reasonable time I'd appreciate it. Because motivating myself to move when there's a warm Gitdog on my lap that I need to walk first isn't happening. Permanently knackered and it's partly my own fault.

Can't help elsien, I have problems getting to bed at a reasonable hour too.

Can't believe it's Monday either. Is it just me or is January a super long month?

Weight penguin So last week, I was really good with good and did over 10k steps everyday. So how come I've gained 4lbs?? Getting really frustrated with my backfat. It's so ugly. end penguin

I'm rubbish at making it to bed at a reasonable time too and am so tired today I'm not quite sure how I'm going to get to the end of the day.

IzHe and I went out on Saturday and it was a really good night but sitting up drinking and chatting when we got home was a very bad idea. I still had a ridiculously bad hangover when we went for lunch/dinner at 4pm!!

Reply to Code I wouldn't worry too much about it, my weight fluctuates wildly from day to day so I'm sure you'll be heading the other way soon enough.
  • Work at 7am again. And a first aid course tonight. I am so damn tired.

There's a visitor in today who is sitting at the desk opposite me (so about 2' away, at most). I swear she is the loudest breather I've ever heard.... it's like trying to work with Darth Vader in your face
