That heart-stopping moment when you reply to an email and then realise it wasn't from the person you thought it was from :eek:

I shouldn't worry, I don't have any numbers programmed into my work landline phone and greeted my boss with "Hello darling" the other day as his number is quite similar to IzHe's... :o

And give me a kick to get my smear booked please while you are at it

Do people think cycling or walking is better exercise? Georgie is inspiring me to try cycling, but that would mean investing in all the kit and caboodle

Welly, kick up the bum to get a smear test done. I had my first last year at the grand old age of 43.

Cycling is good if you want a nice tight booty :D and good all round exercise. But if you don't have a bike then walking is just as good. just need a pair of trainers and and on a nice day you could take little one along in the pram. So double duty get both of you out of the house.

I need to take my own advice as found out today I weigh more than lego man. And he is 6ft tall :( I know I have big boobs but not a stone and half worth !!!!

    Penguin ED

I had eaten two decent meals today but still had to go and get rubbish this evening. Was not even hungry. I could not wait for lodger to go out as I wanted to ram what I had bought down my neck. I was getting very annoyed with him. I don't know why I do it as I am happy at the moment.

I was good and prepped meals for the next few days as well as making savory mince in the slow cooker that I can use with pasta or steamed veg. In the freezer as well as 3 ready meals I made of sausages and steamed veg and gravy. So just need to be nuked in the microwave.

Lego man says he likes me the way I am. But I am way to big for my height of 5ft 4.

Cards are going to have be given to husband again. As I have to get a grip at the moment.

    Penguin End

Want strange I am giving my husband a lift for date he has tomorrow evening :rotfl: as its in the evening and no buses run at that time.

To MU and Lambyr, yes that is how I feel. I know before his stroke my husband loved me very much. I have spent the last 10 years with little to no love or affection in my life. And with my ex who I now know is not well enough for a relationship and probably never will. Which is sad as I know there is a loving caring person inside. But he just does not want to show it and get hurt again.

I know I deserve to be loved and cared for. Its just difficult when you have grown up not liking yourself and your own father seems to see you as a second class citizen.

anyway bed time for me. Wish you a good nights rest.

    Night night

    Yours

    Calley

Re. exercise welly - without meaning to sound like a clich!, the most effective one is the one you'll do, the one that fits into your life easiest and that you're most likely to be able to find time for.

Walking and cycling have both got a lot of benefits (physical, mental, emotional) - so just pick your favourite :)

So true. Before I moved house I would swim in the morning before work once or twice a week, where I live now the pool isn't open and is the wrong way anyway. I like to walk for an hour at lunchtimes, but only when the weather is nice :o and have been really bad about it this summer. Given that I worked out I did approximately 100km walking around Rome in the week I was on holiday and enjoyed it, I'm a bit disappointed in myself over how little I've managed since.

I won't cycle, I'd be a danger to myself and others! :rotfl:

    I agree too!
Before I discovered Zumba, I found all forms of exercise, apart from walking, really, really boring, so of course, didn't keep it up.

First off, kick up the bum to get that smear booked!! :p

Secondly, yay to thinking about cycling! :j Personally, I find it a lot more enjoyable than walking. Unless I've got a mission or a goal in mind re the walking, I don't really enjoy it, well tbh, even then I don't that much! I find it can get abit boring, and also, I find it harder re my asthma than I do cycling.

Cycling is better for toning up your legs and your bum, and also burns more calories than walking does, if that's what you're after re exercise.

I'd advise either maybe hiring a bike for a little bit or buying a cheap (but decent one obviously) off eBay to see if you do like it first. I've seen them on there for about £30-£40. This one is very similar to mine and I think I paid about £400 for it, but I was working at a bike shop at the time and was abit of a bike nerd and wanted a decent one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mens-mountain-bike-by-saracen-purr-trax-606-/131861671984?hash=item1eb3917030:g:HIEAAOSwwo1Xcp5A but mine hasn't got grip shift gears (can't get away with them) If you really got into it, you could get a little seat or pull along to attach to the bike for Escapette!

    You're welcome!

I'm going to sign up for the Learn Friesian course. Apparently, Friesian is even closer to English than Dutch, so I thought I'd like to check it out.
