Without wading through the entire thread, is this still in with a shot at POPLA?

    If so then...
Dear ASDA, I am in receipt of your recent communication ( which i have enclosed/attached for your convenience).
Unfortunately you now leave me with little choice other than to spend a considerable amount of my precious time in dealing with the British Parking Association Limited's ADR scheme, POPLA (Parking on private land appeals)
Should POPLA rule in my favour then i reserve the right to charge you for wasting my time as a result of the actions of your agents (Smart Parking ) at £19 per hour plus any other additional reasonable costs ( stationary, travel expenses etc)
Please also note that as a gesture of goodwill I am prepared to drop any charges for my time wasted on this matter so far, on the condition that you instruct your agents, Smart parking to cancel this charge.

I am also aware that ASDA have recently terminated their contract with Smart parking effective as of April 30th, however you (ASDA) will still remain liable for their actions started as up to the date of the termination.
I look forward to hearing from you within the next Five days so that this matter can be resolved.

Thanks half_way. Should i be sending this to ASDA? Only reason I'm asking is I get the feeling they don't care about resolving this issue at all. If they wanted to they coud have done so following my initial email. So i doubt emails like this is going to get them to cancel the ticket.

YES ... send it to the CEO. There is only one way to deal with these people and that is not letting them off the hook. They must be made to realise how damaging it is for themselves, let alone the general public.

Asda currently have blinkered eyes and that is why they are losing money and will continue to do so until the CEO wakes his ideas up or Walmart, the American owners sack him

Send it to the ceo, the individual store, and post it plus the whole story to their facebook page.
Although before you do just check it all for typing errors spelling mistakes and gramatical mistakes
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"

Asda have become masters of the fob-off letter Common sense does not exist in this company. Aldi & Lidl must be rubbing their hands with glee at the sudden influx of customers - not that they have anything to gloat about in terms of car park "management"

But, we are the masters of our money and Asda don't understand this ...... The company needs a new forward looking CEO as the current one is clearly useless.

SIMPLY AVOID ASDA AND SHOP ELSEWHERE ---- COMMON SENSE

Actually, you are wrong. He's a top bloke. Now, the greasy pole climbing minnions several levels below him are more likely to fit the description you gave.
  • Please remember that ASDA share the revenue, which they make with the PCNs, with Smart Parking. ASDA then donate the money to local charities.

I have complained to the ASDA CEO for every Smart Parking PCN without success. For info, I have never paid any money to Smart Parking.

IS THAT RIGHT ? If he was that smart he would do something about as you say " the greasy pole climbing minions several levels below him are more likely to fit the description you gave"

It all starts at the top so let us see him take action. Until then, nothing changes

And when does the not so smart contract run out?

Now, the incomers may be no better but we have yet to see this.

Either way, action has been taken (and may well be for the worse) yet you slate him for no action.

Asda should not be sharing profits with the scammers regardless where they donate it to.

They are part of this rip off scam then

It just a continued reason not to shop at Asda
