I'm surprised that smart parking have agreed to cancel the PCN when ASDA weren't one bit interested in helping their genuine customers.Shocking response from ASDA. Won't be shopping at ASDA ever again !!

    Great result Sue. :T

Why not write to ASDA and tell them that despite their indifference to the plight of one of their (dwindling number of) genuine customers, you have beaten the scam?

Tell them that as a result, you will never shop with them again. Why not also post it on their Facebook/Twitter pages too?

Every little helps! It's ASDA price (the price of stiffing their customers)!

hopefully asda know of this and have terminated their contract ASAP without getting into a "sainsburys?" situation and costing them many thousands of pounds .

hopefully the new company will be under a strict lead and over watched

Well done sue, and thanks for letting us know the result.

As above, rub ASDA's nose in it by telling them you beat the scammers they employed and have now lost the custom of you and your family by their dreadful customer service.

You know PG, I think that Asda don't have a clue at the damage these scammers are doing, but, it is very clear that Asda hold customers in contempt and they will pay the price

Hurrey !! This is what I came home to....

    "Dear xxxx,
Thank you for your recent communication recieved.
I have noted the points you raised and would like to confirm that we are cancelling the PCN
    Smart Parking Ltd "

So happy and celebrating the Friday night with a lovely meal with family_party_:dance::dance:_party_. If it weren't for these forum members support here, I would have handed my money to these scammers instead of spending it happily with my family.
Can't thank you all enough !! You have all been great and very supportive every step of the way. What a brilliant job you all do !! Much appreciated an thank you all again.

    That's great news!

They cancelled because they knew they'd lose at POPLA, not because they considered any other circumstances.

Anyone recognise the basis for the advice in this newspaper article about how to beat Smart Parking with a template appeal? :D

    http://www.northantstelegraph.co.uk/news/top-stories/update-template-letter-and-advice-for-people-caught-in-corby-co-op-parking-row-1-7331701

The template was used by the BMPA with my full agreement of course. I am not precious about - and nor do I restrict nor try to sue over nor make up lies nor false claims about - my Intellectual Property.

Any single consumer appellant can use the NEWBIES thread template. Company appellants should use Edna Basher's version.
