Smart parking ASDA

Hi all,
I'm writing on behalf of the driver who has been fined £70(Would be reduced to £40 if paid in 14 days) for parking at mother and childrens bay at asda .She didn't have children with her at the time but spent around £100 shopping at asda and has the receipt.
Tried to speak to store manager but she wasn't helpfull.
What should we do next ?
Thanks in advance for any helpfull suggestions

It is not a fine, it is a speculative invoice.

Patrent and child bays are gimmics with graffiti.

Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then appeal using the BPA template in blue from the aforesaid NEWBIES thread.

What are the dates of event, was there a windscreen ticket, was there a notice to keeper through the post and if so when?

Meanwhile write to the CEO of ASDA telling them they will have an ex customer on their hands if this isn't cancelled fifthwith. Say that you will be telling all your friends and family to avoid ASDA as well.

Don't panic. Not-so-smart parking are easy to beat with a two stage appeal.

Don't appeal the windscreen ticket until about day 22 by post or day 25 online. The NEWBIES thread explains why.

Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, do not appeal too soon, but do not miss the appeal deadline.

Is there a email address for the CEO?
And do i write to them as the registered keeper i.e not revealing the driver's identity ?
Any ideas on how to word the letter/ email to CEO would be much appreciated.

    yes

    yes

and bear in mind that nothing will come "in the post" until 28 days have elapsed, so between day 29 and day 56

do a forum search (using suitable search words) for the info as its been posted many times

its not a "fine" , its a speculative invoice , those spaces are nothing special, despite what they say !!

one of the sticky threads has a SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS thread with many such complaint letters, pluse previous threads do as well

report the store manager too, for not helping sort out such a trivial a matter on the spot

I expect there is somewhere. :D One of the many internet search engines should help you find it.

Appeal as keeper. This is not necessarily the driver or registered keeper, just the person who was looking after the car on the day in question. It does not have to be the registered keeper's address either, just a serviceable address where the day to day keeper can be contacted. This is useful if you are helping someone else who is less confident than you.
As long as the name on the appeal is that of the "keeper" then nothing else matters.
Just do not mention who was driving, that's why a copy and paste of the appeal template is all that is needed. It is designed so that the driver's identity is not revealed.

... but if you appeal before not-so-smart send anything out they may forget to send a POFA compliant notice to keeper. That's why you are advised not to appeal a windscreen ticket too early, (or too late) and not to wait for the NTK but to get your retaliation in first.

It's in the NEWBIES thread near the top of the page where you started this thread.

Alternatively use the forum jump grey button near the top or bottom right of this page.

Printing off the Acronyms post in the NEWBIES may make understanding the jargon easier.

The template is in blue but I must stress that it is too early to send it yet.

that blue text template wants sending in more than 3 weeks time, but try not to be late, so around the 6th april ? (not now)

concentrate on a KEEPER complaint to asda CEO and head office in the meantime, with copies of receipts and redacted bank statements to show proof of patronage

dont be hasty, or you shoot yourself in the foot
