Asda CEO is Andy Clarke

But don't expect a personal reply and don't expect too much. They are masters of the fob-off. Perhaps only when they realise they have more ex-customers than customers will they realise that parking charges are counter productive (along with their appalling customer service generally)0 -
Where do i get this template from please ?
Top of this parking forum or thereabouts: 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST'.
It also includes a link to 'Successful complaints about PPCs' giving you shedloads of Asda/Smart successes including people's complaint wording. TBH with your receipt you will probably find it pretty easy to get this cancelled if you are assertive but DO NOT imply who was driving, just say 'we'.
And to complain to any company you obviously just Google 'name of company contact us'. No need to ask for any email address.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -

Perhaps only when they realise they have more ex-customers than customers will they realise that parking charges are counter productive (along with their appalling customer service generally) will they do something meaningful about it.
Problem with Asda is that they are losing money, they are currently lost sheep. One day they will wake up and understand why.
Smart Parking is just one of the cowboy outfits they need to kick out, that's if they want customers
Andy Clarke is very foolish CEO0 -
Thankyou all for the replies. I understand it is too early to appeal against Smart parking. But like Redx suggested I want to send a letter to CEO as a keeper, and would appreciate any suggestions on how to word it or if there are any templates avaiable please could you point me in the right direction please0

the crabman sticky thread has a link to SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS and all sorts of letters and suggestions are in that thread , plus as coupon mad says, links in her NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread
the fact is that after over 3 years of having sticky threads almost everything you need is in those sticky threads due to numerous amendments, so anyone asking a question on here gets told to read the sticky threads, for good reason
good luck0 -

You need to be very firm and annoyed. Send a receipt.
You need to know from Mr Clarke why he would expect you or your friends to ever shop at Asda again. If he wants you to remain a customer, please cancel the ticket.

Just like all the big 4 supermarkets, they think Aldi and Lidl are the problem and to a degree the cheapies are not helping.
Asda is not looking in their own backyard, in this case its Smart Parking .... remember Ratners the jewellery people ???
Ratners himself said his products were rubbish, they went to the wall.
What Asda and all the others are saying is " please shop with us and park your car so our scammers can extort money from you"
Lessons are never learnt0 -
I am continuing to read these threads but it is like a minefield and I'm struggling to find the information i'm after. But will carry on looking. Thank you for your reply.
use a laptop, not a phone or tablet for starters
look to the top of the forum in your browser (I use firefox but opera is just as good)
you will see a few sticky threads , open a tab for one of them , the NEWBIES sticky thread , open another tab for the crabman sticky thread, click on the SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS sticky thread link in there , you now have 2 or 3 tabs open, one being this thread or the forum, another being the newbies sticky thread, the 3rd being the successful complaints sticky thread
this would take a laptop user maybe 2 minutes to achieve
you may need even more tabs open so just do so until you have got them at your fingertips
open a new tab on this forum if you need to use the search box, I use the dropdown on the banner at the top right and enter search words in there
its isnt hard , honest , once you learn those basics its easy to find what you want (on a laptop or a pc, not a phone or tablet)0
