Belated happy birthday for yesterday dolly
I'm pleased to report that I'm feeling lots better today - just about ready to go back to work. Much more like my usual self. I just need to spend the day planning my meeting with the Head, planning some stuff for next week and preparing what I want to talk to my union rep about.
I've started keeping a time diary - a spend diary was so eye opening. Think a time diary will prove just as useful.
Hoping for a nsd if I can, and the to do list is back out again.,.Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Quote for the day
When I loved myself enough
I felt compelled to slow down - way down
And that has made all the difference.Fmess your counselling sessionsounds very positive.:T
Hope you are rested clippy girlTackle the house jobs one at a time.:j
Bob good luck with the debt slaying obsession.
Slow down dolly84 or come and help me with my stuff.:rotfl:
ccl I am glad the rest has done you good.I hope the meetings go well and the time diary is helpful.
greent well done on the clutter clearing and tackling the paperwork.
I have had quite a good day, mainly thanks to my counselling session. I was feeling useless yesterday but some things I read on here plus the counsellor has helped me get things back in perspective.
I have been struggling to get things done, the flu thing has left me weak and think I am having a backlash from them 5 week moving mum stint (along with lots of heavy lifting). Plus the weather isn't helping (feel guilty having the heating on when it is March but it is really cold and nasty after those nice days we had in february).
So for the time being I am back on baby steps, 15 minute chunks of activity followed by resting, taking something with me every time I leave a room or go up or down stairs. This afternoon, by doing lots of folding and rolling and fitting things into small spaces I have got the clutter down to knee level rather than up to my shoulders so will aim to keep that up for the next few days.
Did a small, somewhat unsatisfactory shop on my way home from counselling. They didn't have the bread or cider vinegar that I wanted and not wholly happy with my substitutions. However I only just remembered to get the last two slices of bread out of the freezer last night and was too tired to go anywhere else so I will manage.
Today I am grateful for my lovely counsellor and the lovely volunteer (I had 4 saved old photos from the local paper and have called in the library gallery to see if his uncle's paintings were up yet so going to go back for a proper look some time),
for being able to walk to the appointment and back again (very slowly and creakily)
and (saved the best till last) being booked in for Indian Head Massage again next week.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hello everyone
Sorry I haven't posted for a few days things are a bit mad here at the moment. We have sold our house again, have organised a viewing at another which is right at the top of our budget for Saturday and DH has a 2nd interview for an internal promotion he is stressed out about. Oh and I am doing the work of 2 people!
At least DH will find out on Friday evening if he has got the job or not so he isn't worrying about it all weekend.
Exercise and diet have got out of the window this week and I should have started half marathon training yesterday!
Budgets are looking OK so far, could do with finding another £5k if we go for the other house:eek: :rotfl:
I am so looking forward to our week away over Easter,
Hope everyone is well, will try and catch up with the thread once I have cut down my Mr S order for tomorrow.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Today I am grateful for all the friendly folk on forums, for our lovely shiny (working!) new washing machine, for getting the bunny legs stuffed, for cuddles with dd, for getting plenty of NSDs in now before the Easter hols.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Yay to your badge bob
Yay to the Indian head massage appointment and counselling session mothernerd
Today was a spendy day but only on the bimonthly hydrotherapy appointment for my three legged dog. He loves it and sometimes over the winter he gets a bit wonkier as he gets less exercise but he's apparently doing great this yearCame home to a bomb site today - I have a dog walker who is lovely and flexible on arrangements etc but we just think so differently, she took my dogs for a long muddy walk (excellent) then put them back in the house but they were filthy so my house is now splattered as they obviously shook a lot after she left and they must have been so tired, they drank loads and then were desperate and weed on the floor
I've cleaned the floor and washed the door mats but I haven't started on the the splatters as it might all happen again tomorrow.

Fmess - that is one big cleaning up job!
Mothernerd - I don't think you should feelbad about having the heating on in March. The weather has been pretty gotty up your way.
Dolly - very belated happy birthday to you. Am always late to the party!
Xspender - hope all themoving issues go smoothly fo you.
Bob - well done on your new badge!
Ccl - do keep taking it easy woman! But it is good to hear that you are feeling better.
Calling - how is the dress...?!
Clippy- was thinking re your jab... Will your insurance be void if you do not have it? ie will yoube deemed to have broken the small print? And,maybe your friend in NZ doesn't need it due to a natural exposure they get over there? It would be awful to get bitten and ill. (Maybe this is my mosquito paranoia, as I get badly bitten and react badly - both only going as far as Paris and rural Portugal!)
A super foggy day here. I plan to wash some mucky curtains and sort out the spider webs.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Quick check in from poorly me. Struggling today up with earache and a bad chest all night. There seems no end in sight to this bug.:(
On my own in work or otherwise think I would have gone home by now.
Popped out lunchtime and did a small food shop,12 pounds everything seemed so heavy wish I had taken the car. Needed bunny food, veg, fruit. not at all hungry but at least means no weekend shopping for me.
Paid off 40 pounds off CC2 today, 20 pounds to EF and 15 to spendy one. :T
