Hope you feel better soon, calling
mothernerd - aren't IHMs fab?! I used to work as a clinical aromatherapist (so blended individually to suit each client) and also did IHM. People would often fall asleep during a long IHM session (an hour) Enjoy!x
Should be SFD 7 here - I can't see any reason why I'll spend anything tonight
I volunteered at a local charity this morning and took some things with me to donate (more stuff out of my house - yeay!) Brought several bags of rubbish and recycling home with me (the charity gets charged to dispose of it) and also half a WM load of items which need cleaning - I'll take them back next week when I'm back in
Little bit more paperwork sorted and recycled/ burned again today. Slowly the paper mountain is going down!
Happy Friday
xx
ETA: will definitely be spending this weekend - need to visit A!di tomorrow (list written ready) and also T*sco - which may either be tomorrow as well or Sunday morning.

Well done on your volunteering Greent
fmess hope your dog's are kinder to you tonight. Not much fun clearing that sort of mess up.
Had the luck to find 50p whilst out today so I've rounded up to £1 for today's PAD.
So glad it's the weekend. 1 week till DS performs in their big spring dance show. So practise and more practise tommorow. They are doing their piece to the music from Star wars. He has flip flopped a bit on whether to keep going and we had decided at Xmas that we wouldn't renew for another term if he wasn't really happy but low and behold he decided he didn't want to quit and has loves it this term. So that will be tommorow morning for us. Also need to pop to the building society to pay in some savings for both of them.
Doing steak fajitas for dinner tonight. Yum.

Quote for the day
When I loved myself enough
I stopped blaming myself for the choices I had made-
which made me feel safe and I took responsibility for them.XSpender I hope you find (and can afford) the house you want.
Apple hope the curtain washing went well - leave the spiders alone, they eat flies which are much more harmful to us.
Fmess someone on another thread gave thanks for the cat being sick in the hallway - she was grateful that it wasn't on her bed:rotfl:
greent you are a superstar volunteer.
dolly84 thank you for your kind offer, I will get there slowly.
Bob so glad your son is enjoying dance class.
I have had a fairly successful day. The red curtains are down (luckily DS2 had not screwed the pole up or put the curtains over the end stops), they have been washed and will be donated when they have dried. DS3's quilt is just washed and the pillows are to follow (and possibly the curtains from the front room).
It is a sign of how ill I have been as DS3 has been at beloved's for nearly three weeks and usually his bedding is in the wash/ on the line as soon as he is out of the door. When he comes back I will have to buy the new curtains (planned purchase - actually supposed to buy us new quilts now I am debt free) but will leave them for now.
Thinking along the same lines with his bed. There is a single he can use for now and if I can get this bed taken away by the council it makes the repair work so much easier.
Today I am grateful for getting things done (very slowly)

Hi everyone
I'm really struggling with working on a tablet instead of my laptop, which is why I've gone a bit quiet. I can't update my signature or do much in terms of smilies and colours etc. They said 3-5 days so I hope it's fixed soon, and not too expensive. I will catch up properly once it's back. Not giving up

Morning all
Apple muncher I have decided to get the vaccine. It is expensive but better than being paralysed! Realistically I don't think there much chance but better to be safe than sorry! My friend is from the uk, she just lives in nz at the moment. She was told only if we were going for a month but as we are going to rice paddies I think it's worth the peace of mind.
Yesterday was a NSDtoday I need to go to aldi and am also ordering a new kitchen bin. Getting a double one which pulls out the cupboard. Since I've organised the kitchen I've got room and it gets the two I have off the floor and out of sight. Going to get a new little food caddy to replace the ugly black one on the window sill. Rest of my house jobs this month are free
Going to pop up in the loft to bring my clothes down so I can sort through them and also going to check holiday stuff like sun lotion and insect repellant as only want to buy what I need!
Hope everyone has a nice day:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Hi All
Lots of Wombling done today. Won't write it all out again as on the wombles thread which I know several of you contribute to.
DS is a bit snotty today so now we are back home we will stay in and keep warm and dose him up on honey and lemon. I'm making home made burgers for tea which I always love to do as it's so satisfying beating the system by buying a £2 pack of mince and making 4 lovely big quarter pounders for a fraction of the cost ready made burgers are sold for. I have a big bag of potatoes so will make wedges instead of buying oven chips too. Have all the rest of the bits to use up anyway.
Had our council tax bill for 2016. After 4 years on hold the borough have had to put it up. It only works out £2 more per month so I'm not concerned.
The buildings insurance renewal papers were in as well for the flat we own. That has gone up £9 a month. We are stuck with the policy unfortunately due to the flat needing non standard insurance. Long story but short version is the property next door was underpinned before we bought the flat and the developer didn't tell us! Worryingly it also did not come up in the top level of survey you can have done for a flat. So we only found out about 6 months into the property ownership when the upstairs neighbours came down with a file of documents! So we are stuck with the policy and it has gone up so much in the 12 years we've had it. Oh well god grant us the strength to accept what we can't change and all that jazz.
Have stripped both the beds and pushing the washing through the machine. Think about 4 loads today. But clean sheets have to be up there with life's top simple pleasures I think.
Love to all

Afternoon all,
bob - I am about to get quotes or advice on whether my house has subsidence - do you know, if it does, will that mean I also need non-standard insurance? I am hoping if it does have it, I can claim on my current insurance.
Loving the milder weather todayWas having a great day until a few moment ago when, for no reason that I can fathom, two of my three dogs decided to fight each other (although I rather suspect it was actually only one of them fighting and the other just squealing and running away). It always sends me into a bit of a state of shock when they do that so I'm all jittery and shaky - it happens a couple of time a year at most and then they live peacefully together the rest of the time. The naughty dog is currently on a time-out in the kitchen.
Apart from that I have had a quite pleasant day - reinstated the washing line and have almost dried one load on the line, done the food shopping, pet food shopping, bought petrol, bought seed and reseeded some of the lawn, replanted a couple of house plants, got my hair cut, dropped a bag of clothes at the charity shop and got my blown headlight bulb replacedOh and walked the dogs. This evening I need to clean the downstairs and put my feet up
